Not sure about that to be honest. MJ may have had his demons (like alot of us do), but overall, you'd have to say he lived a life considered well above the average of a normal person. The people he surrounded himself with are par for the course with famous people and everyone involved in Hollywood always comes out of it messed up, especially child stars. Can't necessarily say MJ was treated worst than anyone else and can't also say some of the attention he received wasn't self perpetuated. I'm not saying what the media and the suits were doing was right, I'm just saying Michael didn't help himself and I'm not sure he was quite as naive about those around him as the impression he gave. MJ made alot of unnecessary mistakes. I just cannot help but wonder how he would have turned out if he just left his appearance alone, retired after hitting the top and just went off the radar by trying to live a normal life away from trying to be in the limelight. Oh well, it was a heck of a show while it lasted anyway.

Sorry, I have no idea if Michael Jackson sexually abused anyone (neither do you), but there is a reason why responsible adults observe appropriate boundaries around children. If there was a rich rich guy down the lane with a funfair in his garden who surrounded himself with children, we would not think it such a good thing. Michael Jackson gets a free pass with his fans because he sold a lot of records and could dance. Oh and he had an unusual childhood....which is why you’ve heard of him.

Michael Jackson was the greatest musician who ever lived from the moment he hit our television screens at eleven years old. It doesn't get any better than this. It never will.
@StevenC32 Жыл бұрын
I consider him a singer, not a musician. But I guess it is a generation thing, on how we describe things.
@ltfringr Жыл бұрын
@@StevenC32 Music flowed through him in a way that only a true musician could possess. His instrument was his voice, he wrote and composed full songs in his head. He didn't have a traditional music theory background, but he had his own deep personal theoretical understanding. I would consider him a musician through and through.

0:35 that incredible moment where the director & cameraman knew that something special was happening, and they knew to lock in to Michael Jackson. Diana Ross, one of the biggest stars in the world, was sitting a few feet away in the first row, and even she had to excitedly know an 11 year old boy was exceeding her voice & stage command.
