It's been a HARD 47 years since this video was shot. Mike was still with his Brothers so he may have only been recording "Off the Wall" at this point. I was in Jr. High and we had no notion of him going solo, Jermaine had done a solo album but much earlier. No one had ever heard of a Crackhead, drive by, crashout, mass school shooting, only out here on the west coast was there west coast style gang banging and those dudes were actually pretty cool ESPECIALLY the older ones to us Jr High and grade school kids, they were like uncles to us. It was a completely different time and era. Look at the Gangbangers behind the scenes with Michael in "Beat It". Mike like those guys and they liked him, Crackheads were still a year away at that point. I'm 57 years old now.

Years later as an adult I find out more as in he came from the Jackson 5 but never really knew the music. And for social media, I am coming across all the Jackson 5 songs and I come to realize some of the songs that I have heard over the years not realizing it was from Jackson 5. I think if he were still here. He would probably be able to enjoy his life in retirement. Moved himself and his children's some place quite. Away from all the craziness and let his children's have normal lives. He has given the world all that he had to give. He deserved to have lived his last years in peace. I'm so sorry that both he and his children's didn't get that. It's love that makes you a family not always blood. May he watch over his children's. May God shine his light on them and protect them from the evils of this world. Rest in love Michael You wrote your own ending song.."GONE TO SOON"😢💔
Your words are well written and express a deep truth many can and will not understand because of who Michael was as a Superstar icon. However, you see the needs he had as a man and human being. It would have been a joy to see him now at 60 if he were still here enjoying his senior years in peace and love.

A lot of the choices he made was because he had to. I don’t think he did anything to himself that wasn’t making sense. I think he did the best he could with what hand he got dealt. Having Vitiligo and Lupus on your skin and face had to be difficult when facing a demanding public that has expectations of how he should look. It easy for boy growing up to be a man like that.

I went to MJ Day they had there in 2014. The way they did it was pitiful. None of the Jackson’s showed up, except for Katherine who never made an actual appearance. It was just an empty stage with his songs playing. It was sad how little effort went into making it special. His brothers and sisters should have def stepped up and even ppl from his hometown.
