Michael Jackson had incredible talent. With lots of help from his family, especially from his dad, he grew his talent at an early age. Later on he continued to grow his talent to become the world's greatest entertainer. His faith as a jehovah's witness actually hindered his musical career as the J.W.s wanted the Thriller video banned because of the zombies that were in it. Plus they spied on him with two J.W. members on his tours. They were part of his entourage. They caused him so much grief that he wrote a letter to the J.W. cult asking to be left alone and to no longer be referred to as a J.W.

That's wonderful. I don't have children yet, but when I do, I'm going to see to it that they are exposed to The Jackson 5, The Jacksons, Michael Jackson, and Janet Jackson. To hear their music is to love their music.
@JustGod77 жыл бұрын
yes indeed. I don't expose him to this music today even though its a few artist and songs out there that are more appropriate for a childs ears. Even though those some of the old music talks about love making its not explicit and raunchy. theres feeling and understanding between man and woman in them.

I remember seeing the actual episode of American Bandstand when they aired this show, as a kid! The Jacksons were also on "Soul Train" and the "Midnight Special" that same weekend! Great Memories for me! :)

johnsonzz2016, that's right that was it, "Midnight Special," I have been trying for years to remember the name of that show. I saw all those specials with the Jacksons at that time also. I never missed anything they were on unless our Rabbit Ear Antenna didn't pick it up. :-)

I will listen to this song when I'm 96! I will never get tired of Michael Jackson's music! He was definitely the king of pop! I cried my eyes 😭 out the day he died. I kept him alive by playing his music non-stop even though it drove my housemates crazy! RIP Michael.

One of the best dance songs ever. They would play that at the disco and it would get lit!
@TDH24Live Жыл бұрын
I guess that's why they made the dance songs that they did because it was the disco era.

I first heard this as a skinny little kid in a disco on a Saturday night held in the dining room of my boarding school in Northern Nigeria in the early 80's! A dining hall filled with 500 kids getting down! Some folks use crack to get high. I just crank this up and dance my ass off. In my 50's!!! MJ - A flawed musical GENIUS!! RIP!
