You can add a wheel of staples to add some cards that you missed like Poly or MR. Another cool idea is add one modern pack just to see how much would modern cards affect the gameplay

I think the current rules stand pretty decent. If i were to tweek them at all i would say make the 10 carry over cards able to be pulled from any of your previous cards so if a draft goes bad it doesn’t set you up for a bad loss that could then domino effect through the rest of the series. Another possibility for a rule would be the option to trade for 1 card before the battle. Some times one was missing one piece of a set or combo that the other pulled but to them it was a dead card. This could help both duelists get what they needed

Jen shouldn't activate jar of creed until susu ends his turn, or target it with a spell/trap removal card. Just leave jar of creed there, making him think what that face down card might be... ive seen it in other duels as well. Believe I helped 😁

So I came up with a duel that I'm not sure what to put it under but basically it's a weird mix of all the yugi's decks (Yugi, Jaden, Yusei, ect.) Vs a mix of all the rival's decks (Kaiba, Chazz/Zane, Jack Atlas, ect.) Just splattering of some of their signature cards together in one match.

I think y’all should continue doing these , but with structure decks . Use them the way they come since they are already come like a semi oiled machines and have cards that work together the duels should be fun yet you can keep it old school. You can start with a umi vs fire deck , light vs dark ect..

I would say if you are doing the ygoprog for opening packs, then you both should open up 24 packs so you can both pull better cards. It could make the duels more spicy.
