I prefer the gold to the red and I would go for a second coat.I would have chosen the same first spread. It’s going to be a beautiful, meaningful, souvenir. I would not stress too much about « did I pick the right spread ». In a decade, when you look back at it you will see the plane/train/theatre tickets, pamphlets and other entries and they will remind you of all the great moments and experiences you lived during that time. Those stubs, little snippet of moments, will be more important then having chosen one spread over another.😊

Hi Jenna. New sub here. I've been bingeing your content this morning (in Aus).... good for you! Would love to visit Japan. Loved your Sketchbook cover and first spread. Any chance you can visit some amazing Japanese art shops, and maybe Holbien or Turner factory? (One day lol) I was wondering if different parts of Japan may have more pink Sakura? Stay safe! x Nell.

Hi Nell!! Thank you so much for subbing and watching my videos! 🥹 Definitely visit Japan if you get a chance - there is so much to explore and the culture is wonderful. Ooooh, thank you for the suggestion to visit some art shops - I've actually been wanting to do this for a while! I'm not sure about different areas of Japan, but I do know that the colour of the cherry blossom depends on the tree - some seem to be white and others pink! Take care Nell :)

What paint do you use? I think it would be really fun to make something like this myself!

I use mostly acrylic paints! In Japan, there's not a huge variety of acrylic paints so I use the liquitex ones :) you should definitely give it a try!
