Wonderful job on the review and I definitely enjoyed watching this. I was lucky enough to try JAL First Class from Tokyo Haneda to London Heathrow a couple weeks ago and I can definitely agree with your sentiment on the deserted atmosphere at HND. Also I was able to visit that ANA First lounge at HND since they were accepting priority pass members (even though I was flying with JAL). Loved the noodle bar at the back of the lounge 🍜🤤

Ah I never realised ANA F lounge is open to priority pass .. I was thinking why on earth would they open F lounge for a handful pax even when all European flights are cut especially when JAL combines F and J. That solves the mystery now. I also flew JAL F this month and I really liked their lounge interior. Feels a lot more airy and relaxing.

@mattnav, I am flying Business class from HND on ANA. I do have priority pass lounge access through my AMEX card and would love to get into the ANA F lounge. However I can't find that on my priority pass app? How did u know u had access?

@@MrPerfusionist my flight was back in March 2022 when Japan's borders were still closed so there was a lot less demand and at the time Priority Pass and ANA had a deal which included access to the lounge at HND. Just checked and it looks like with the uptick in passenger demands they've removed said Lounge from the list

Our USA carriers is such a disappointment. Even on their own home turf they can't seem to get Business/First Class service on par with other carriers from Asia and Middle East regions. The hospitality does really make a difference. I've had better service on United economy due to friendly helpful staff than some of the First/Business class flights I had with United =/ . Singapore Airlines stopped flying to Hawaii in the early 90's I think, so I didn't get to try them yet. Cathay Pacific I was disappointed to hear that their service went down from even other reviews. I flew JAL before and I liked them, but what got me hooked on ANA was after watching the Jdrama "Good Luck" starring Kimura Takuya XD. Great video and that turbulence you experienced looked crazy even on video.

Wonderful video and review. Congratulations for this although I do know you won't find any Asian culinary experience close to this in beautiful Ithaca!! A good friend of mine was the Head Executive Chef (teaching) at your school and I visited a few times. Lovely however freezing cold in January. Good luck !!

Oh yes the Ithaca winter can be frustrating sometimes.. There's certainly no qualifiable asian cuisine up here. I'd say Taverna Banfi is my favourite spot so far :)

Boarding from near the lounge sure sounds convenient. ANA has a similar setup at IAD. Passengers can board directly from the Turkish or Lufthansa lounges, I believe. It was the same when ANA had their own lounge there. I don't have firsthand experience of any of this, I've never been lucky enough to try their F/C product.

I don't know why he thought it would be a good idea to start another First and business class only "luxury" travel channel on youtube; at least half a dozen of those already exist but all of them confuse me since almost nobody watching these videos can readily afford the actual product he is sitting in making it a useless channel; as a student, this is baffling because he could have completed a full year of college for the price of that flight!

How much do I love those videos, it clears how hard is it to please the rich and how easy is it to come on behalf of the poor. Yes it is important to travel comfortably, to feel at home, but not extravagantly relaxed really. If the same system keeps running poverty will keep inclining. Again, we all deserve quality no matter rich or poor famous or obscure. Simplicity and quality are the keys. Thanks for the video I love it!

Hi, very nice review of my most favourite airline next to Cathay Pacific. ANA is Omotenashi to its best. A shame that Cathays first class declined significantly after the retirement of their 747´s. PLease keep on making reviews like this. Greetings, Dominik.

Changing the channel name would do you a large favor because I don't think you even know what the term scholarly means. I live only a few miles away from some of the best schools in the world (Harvard and MIT) and you are a prime example of someone they would 'TOTALLY' consider a scholarly source because flying first class for twelve hours and reviewing it for KZbin is more important than helping pay a third of your entire college tuition; it also would not hurt if you didn't copy and paste your age multiple times without changing it- I guess your 19.5???

Hello Son, I intend to go to Tokyo and ICN this summer with my 4 kids. From IAD, we can land at NRT or HND airport. I heard that HND is closer to downtown but ANA business lounge at NRT offers more anemities, is it true? Beside the experience in the sky, could you please share us places you visited in Tokyo? My kids are at your age, crazy of K-pop and J-pop, your experience will help me to plan our trip accordingly as we will stay only a week. . Thanks handsome son.

You had a really beautiful flight. Great personal cubicle, the food looked very nice. And I have to praise you. After such a hearty lunch of such turbolence, you are handy that you have not vomited. I would certainly vomit even if I really didn't like it. Poor stewardesses still have to walk all wrapped in plastic. I really regret them. Perhaps the measures will end. In our country, only a mandatory respirator applies in medical buildings and also in public transport. But it is not very well observed in transport.
