The USS Wadsworth mentioned in the video was a Fletcher-class destroyer (DD-516). In WW2 she received seven battle stars and a Presidential Unit Citation for fighting Kamikazes, downing 6, shared in downing 7 others,and directing fighters and early warnings on picket duty during the battle of Okinawa. Decommissioned in 1946, she was acquired by Germany in 1959 and served with the German Navy until 1980, stricken and acquired by Greece and served with the Hellenic Navy until 1991, after which she was scrapped.

I agree. Versus the Japanese torpedo bomber claims of two carriers, assorted cruisers and other craft when attacking three ships barely larger than barges that weren't even sank at all? LOL!!!

The Kiwi's, the few, were marvelous Allies. Tough fighters and innovative (research the Kiwi's working out the geometry to multiple cannon positions), It was in their best interest, if you don't think Japan had Eyes on New Zealand you are fooling yourself. I won't talk about the Dock Workers Strike that almost upended the Guadalcanal campaign. It would have served those greedy A*sholes right if it caused the Japanese to invade NZ, unfortunately to many good people would get hurt so we fought to see that didn't happen
