THE JASON WALDRON BAND performing Big River (Johnny Cash cover) at the Grand Rapids Legion Club in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
The Jason Waldron Band (Effie, Minn) is a 3-piece classic country cover band with a broad genre of outlaw, neotraditional, blues with a twist of rockabilly & rock in the blend.
Jason Waldron is known for his deep, rich, often gravelly baritone-bass/baritone voice. Soft-spoken with small-town politeness, as soon as Jason hits the stage you hear the strength of nearly twenty years of skilled acoustic guitar playing. On the first song note - you will be hooked by the growl, tempo, and range of this talented singer from the North.
Jason’s son Blake Waldron joined his father in partnership on the cusp of the Covid years, as lead guitar. A perfectly poised young man with precision style and lightning-fast fingerpicking, Blake hammers chord progressions with that twangy tone of pure country. He is an entertaining wizard of slides, riffs, and licks - so much so - that the audience will turn heads to the young master in mirrored glasses.
*Tom joined the band after this filming.
Tom Breiwick, an experienced drummer with over thirty years of playing experience around Minnesota, provides the old-tone background with train beats, cross-sticking, and energetic drumming to influence the strong sound of this band. Tom is consummate with his sticks, strikes, and movement from kick-up dance country to boots up and listen country wallow.
The Jason Waldron Band is a popular country-flavor package band you want front and center. The audience will dance to every beat and soak in every melody.
