I’m curious how the JBL 4367 would compare to these, especially when considering price.

I own the 4367 but have never heard the S9900. The bass extension is pretty poor on the S9900 and 1/2 octave deeper on the 4367. But I still use subs (high-passed at 63hz) with my 4367s… No idea how them mids and highs compare. Both measure pretty well. I wonder how the older drivers compare. Are the new drivers better or cheaper to manufacture? The white papers show the new drivers have less breakup over 10k but don’t reach quite as low and the 4” driver in the S9900 looked stable until 700hz where the 3” ring drivers in the 4367 show some distortion coming in at 750hz.

My guess is they probably sound more alike than different. It would make for an interesting comparison for sure, especially with the 4367s being a 2-way design vs 3-way for S9900.

Yeah they lack bass for sure. With subs highpassed they are probably pretty good. The 4367 is a lot better buy with deeper bass.
