after saying ‘drip’ multiple times out loud to confirm he’s not a psycho (he is but for other reasons), I noticed that the ‘dr-’ sound sounds like a ‘jr-’ sound which in turn can be mistaken for a ‘gr-‘ sound. Saying ‘drip’, sounds like ‘jrip’ which is closer to ‘grip’ than ‘drip’, hence the confusion.

I've figured out what happened in this video: Jerma must've said drip in an unusual way where instead of making a "Jrip" sound he actually made a "D-(uh)-rip" sound, and then a loud sound effect from the game played at the same time as him saying the "D" part so it got muffled and all you heard was a "?-(uh)-rip" sound, and in your brain you automatically interpret that as ""G-(uh)-rip".
