You guys did this for me and my fellow Team Jess warriors omg thank you for this!! The way they had instant chemistry from the very beginning and bonded over their shared love for books and literature 😭❤️ Season 2 was PEAK Gilmore Girls, in my personal opinion, because it was such a delight watching their feelings grow for each other. Their slow burn was absolutely perfect this season, and they honestly had some of the best ship moments on the show, but I still don’t like that she had to cheat on Dean to kiss Jess… though I can’t deny that their first kiss was perfect. So much passion 🥰

It’s funny how when this was first on most of us were kids and were all for the most part rooting for Rory, we acknowledged she made mistakes but overall were on her side. But now as adults we rewatch and realize how selfish and entitled and possibly delusional about real life partly because everyone always told how smart and talented and amazing she was, which is all good and wonderful but they didn’t prepare her for the real world which is tough and hard and mean and that there would be people who were also as smart and talented as she was and she need to work that much harder. Instead she ended up being entitled and thinking she was better than certain jobs or whatever.

They were awful. Jess was so rude to everyone in her life. Dean, Lorelai, Luke, Emily, etc. He only cared about the chase. After that he tried isolating her and their relationship was just super physical. Everyone says Dean was toxic and yes cheating on his wife was duh (even though Rory cheated 4 separate times throughout the show y’all forget that) but besides that he was 400x better to Rory and her friends/family.
