It makes sense for Zack Wilson to start for the rest of the season. My only suggestion on signing a backup QB (NOT STARTING) is Nick Foles just because the other free agents QBs would be a distraction to the team. Also they need a lot of miracles to make it to the playoffs.

As a Lions fan and life long Rodgers hater, I also acknowledged his greatness. He is in my personal top 3 all time. I never root for injuries and it actually pains me that one of the greatest to ever play may never play again due to THAT bull shit injury. That is no way to end a career. It is a damn shame. I watched Hard Knocks and I have to say, it actually changed my opinion on him and going into that game that night, for the first time since he supplanted Favre, I did not hate him. I was rooting for the Jets. I hope he is back.

Lions are the hottest team in the NFL. In my opinion this was the worse week one football 🏈 I've seen in my 40 plus years. The only game that both teams were legitimately trying to win was between The Lions and Chiefs. Kansas City was missing their super star tight end but getting away with 40 false starts and 20 holding penalties balanced that out. Lions earned and deserved the victory ✌️

@johnfischer_2 Mine is basic. GOAT - Brady Most Cerebral - Manning Most Talented - Rodgers I can not be convinced otherwise. Brady is just the perfect leader, he's got talent, but not the most talented ever, he's a fierce competitor, insanely dedicated to his craft, extremely high football IQ (maybe 2nd only to manning), and he may be the most clutch QB of all time. 7 rings. Manning is easily the most intelligent QB ever on the field and lacked the athleticism and didn't have a cannon, but was accurate as hell and knew what play you were running almost every play. He was offensive coordinator and QB. Easily in my top 3. Rodgers perfected the gun slinger role. Did it with far more accuracy than Favre did. Just absolutely diced teams up. Attempted risky throws nobody else would and dropped balls in buckets from 50 yards on the roll out. He paved the way for Mahomes. Just creative AF on the field and always a threat for the big play. If you didn't get pressure, it's a completion. Every time. If he had 7-8 seconds for Jordy Nelson or DaVante Adams to get open, it's a first down. I watched him torch the lions for 15 years. The man's a legend. Which brings me to Mahomes... I could see him supplanting Rodgers on this list as most talented. I don't think he tops 7 rings or ever reaches the overall GOAT status that Brady reached. Mahomes needs to play another 12 years for it to even be possible. And he'll lose Kelce in about 4 years, and we saw what that offense looks like with no Kelce. So, I'm interested to see what the back half of his career looks like. But, that's my top 3.

After Joe Namath refused to come out of retirement at the age of 80, the Jets decided that Zach Wilson was their next best option. Seriously though, it is not often that a QB gets a second chance and Zach Wilson better milk it for all he is worth...that will be difficult behind that awful offensive line but an elite defense and excellent run game should help. As a Cowboys fan, I am excited to see the Boys play against another New York team with a poor offensive line and a turnover prone QB.

Older Chiefs fans can definitely relate. We sucked butt throughout most of the 70's and 80's. Marty Schottenheimer built a phenomenal defense but we had awful QBs and no hope. Then we landed Joe Montana. We finally had hope, we won a bunch of games, and even though we never got over the playoff hump, we were at least very relevant throughout the 90's. I can very much picture what it would be like if his career ended less than 4 minutes into that first season. Holy. Crap. My sympathies to the whole fanbase.
