The Broncos got swept again for the 3rd straight year by the Raiders and were the 3rd place team. That would have been pretty easy to find out with minimal research and they were 4-2 in their division. I think the team will be better than people think. Their young secondary is very underrated although there's not a lot of depth and their LBs are good too and their d-line will be top 5 if they stay healthy. While their QB situation isn't ideal, it's not as doom and gloom as some people seem to think both QBs can run their offense well enough to keep the ball away from other teams offenses and score some points they have a pretty good roster on offense. The only thing that scares me a bit is their o-line they need to stay decently healthy. Yes their schedule is tough but I think they can sweep Denver and LA and split with the Chiefs and as for the rest of it i'm pretty sure they can squeeze out 5-6 wins and possibly squeak into the playoffs. That's best case there but I feel a lot of teams are going to struggle a lot against that defense and Brock Bowers is going to open up their offense he's a future superstar. Zeus will have a good year he's in the shape of his life.

I am a foreign fan and my first game I watched was the '18 Superbowl. And I enjoyed it because I didn't know any better. When the chiefs won Superbowl 54 I was sold, 50 years after their last title. What a story. And since then it has all been shit. Brady git one again and the next evil empire is on the rise. If literally all the opposite teams had won in the last like 4 years (apart from the Rams) I would be so happy. Sorry. I do personally think the Chiefs passing defense is going to take a step back with the loss of Sneed. Not a huge step but I think teams that have a big passing attack like the Texans might have it pretty easy against them. That is not considering their pass rush with Chris Jones and Co. If the pass rush is disruptive, they won’t have to worry about a weaker secondary.

Ngl even as a Raiders fan I was lowkey glad to see Bo Nix cooking in the preseason. In comparison to the general consensus, I was/am high on Nix. He was the clear QB4 for me over Penix & McCarthy. Most ppl were laughing when y’all took him at #12, but I thought it was a solid pick. And so far it’s looking like the Broncos and I were right about him. I think he’s pro-ready enough for you guys to get possibly 8-9 wins, which is pretty good considering this year was basically a retooling for you guys.

@@BroncoJosh Yea I was one of the few Raider fans who wanted Bo Nix at #13. At the same time getting possibly the best TE prospect of all time at that pick instead isn’t bad consolation price. The two TE sets with Bowers and Mayer have the potential to be lethal. And when you consider the pretty well rounded WR room the Raiders have as well, one thing is for sure, whatever QB the Raiders inevitably end up trading for or drafting next year will have a plethora of weapons to utilize.

5'11" 165 lbs is a skinny frame said to struggle with press defenses devalued him down. With all the other wideouts and Kelce that puts Worthy with 4.21 speed as the primary deep threat is great. Keep underestimating the Raiders. I love it. They went 4 and 2 in the Division last year. They had the highest scoring Defense in the league last year. Last year is a tale of two coaches. Once AP was calling the shots they went 5 and 4. They were ranked #3 overall in the last 9 games. They will be a run heavy offense. Control the clock and keep the other offense off the field. Defense will get takeaways and sacks to give short field position. Raiders are the last team to beat the Tantrum Twins causing them both to be filmed pouting and throwing helmets on the sideline.

@@MFBloosh In fairness to Getsy there’s only so many ways you can run an offense if the QB can’t read a defense. However, you can also say the lack of development Fields showed at Chicago falls on the coaching staff including Getsy. This is why I’m happy the Raiders went with Minshew as QB1 who has much more experience than Aidan O’Connell and won’t need to be developed as much by the coaching staff.

Chiefs fan here. The Chargers don't have any good skill position players and the Raiders don't have a QB, and both have inexperienced, below par Head Coaches, and therefore I think they'll be in a battle for 3rd place. However, from what I've seen this preseason I think the Broncos are back. Sean Peyton has that team motivated and Bo Nix is an elite, mature, NFL-ready game manager. He had a 7 to 1 TD to INT ratio his last two years at Oregon and is fairly athletic and mobile as well. I'm not the biggest Vance Joseph fan, but if they stay healthy they've got a shot to be good this year and make it interesting for the Chiefs. Also, although Suamateia is the real deal at LT, the Chiefs are THIN at both OL and DL this year. If they have injuries at those positions they're going to be in trouble. Veach tried but I think he fell a bit short trying to reload at WR and TE, and their X factors are tiny fast guys and an aging Travis Kelce. Possession receivers like Rice and Smith-Schuster will help mitigate risk, but Worthy, Brown, and/or Kelce go down and it will hurt them tremendously. Defensively they'll still be good, probably around tenth in the league, and that will keep them in most games. I'm just saying they're more vulnerable than in past years because of lack of depth.

One thing that has been underdiscussed is that the Chiefs have been remarkably healthy during the Mahomes era. I can't think of a time where one of their star players was out with injury for a significant period of time.

Yeah, our players only miss significant time for suspensions 😂....but, we probably won't see Omenihu until after the bye & maybe longer because of the knee injury (instead of being suspended the 1st 6 games like last year) & that will hurt a bit...hopefully he plays like last year when he comes back 🤷🏻‍♂️

Uncle Rico went to the pro bowl last year. Raiders D could be really good to excellent this year. The Raiders are the last team to beat KC on Xmas in their house. This team wanted to hang McDaniel's from a bridge. The team famously told him they hated his face to his face. But would run through a wall for AP. It could get really interesting. A mean gritty player run team.

The Chargers is definitely a team that could take the Division, but then you remember it's the Chargers and they might be almost as cursed, if not more cursed then the Vikings are. And as a part Chargers fan, my expectations for this upcoming season are not high. It would be nice to see the Chargers make a resurgence because i really like Herbert a lot and want to see him do well in the team he grew up cheering for. But again he's already injured and we might not get his 100% right away.

As a devoted Chiefs fan, I have never "hated" the Chargers (I confess I can't say the same for the Raiders & Broncos)....IF/when/ever the Chiefs do relinquish their AFC West domination (where they have to win the SB as a Wildcard team😉) I am sincerely rooting for it to be the Chargers... hopefully it is after I die, but 🤷🏻‍♂️

As a first time viewer and Broncos fan, I like your break down here. Am I on the Nix hype train? Yep... Do I think that preseason determines anything? Nope... But I like what I see and my prediction wasn't that far off from yours. I said 6 win floor and 10 win ceiling but I feel good about their future with Bo at the helm. Lose 20 mil in dead cap next season. Lose 35 mil in dead cap the season after that. I'm looking for a better prediction in 2 years. It's just going to be a rough ride lol

It's been 31 years of ouch, and 6 years of Mahomes, as i started watching my beloved Chiefs around 89-90 when i was 9-10. I was there for the great 90s D with Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Hasty, Warfield, Saleamua, etc. The great Vermeil offense with Trent, Tony G, LJ, etc. I STILL have to pinch myself these days...Long as Pat stays healthy-ish, the West is on lockdown, and potentially the AFC 👀
