1989年にメジャーデビューし、後に新キャプテン翼の主題歌も提供するなど1996年頃まで活動していたロック・バンド、The Jetzt (ジ・イェッツ) の自主制作盤1stシングルをポスト。これがA面"Blue Shelter"は疾走感あるビートとニューウェイヴ音色がカッコ良いパンキッシュナンバーで、B面"夏のバカンス"はミッドテンポだが日本のニューウェイヴ/ポスト・パンク/ネオサイケ・ファンには刺さる内容なのだ。実際、私はその後の活動を存じ上げることなく、このシングルの魅力のみで惹かれてDJ出かけようと思い購入した。日本の80's Obscure New Waveシングルとして名盤の部類に入る作品と言えるだろう。
The Jetzt is a Japanese Rock band later release albums from Major Label but this 1st 7" from 1985 is the totally DIY Obscure Post Punk single and it's best.
Especially Side-A "Blue Shelter" is a upbeat post punk dance number and good to spin for clubs.
Side-B is also good Japanese 80's New Wave number and I like it.
It's pretty hard to find I think.
