@@bobSeigar : I've always liked the analogy of the fish. Although, since ALL examples can only be of the relative (dualistic) realm, it must fall short. A little fish is born in the depths of the sea. It observes that the great majority of the other fish, are swimming frantically, stressed, worried, rushed, hurried, all over. Being a young fish, it follows the behavioral patterns of the masses (the herd, society). But it remains curious and one day asks one of the frantic fish, "why is everyone so panicked, so rushed? What is everyone looking for?" "We all believe in an idea called 'thirst,' and we are all seeking to quench our thirst. We need to hurry because we don't live forever, and can die before we find water. Find yourself a school of fish to teach you how to find water." But the little fish, having lived many lives of such silliness before, notices that even the teachers of the finding-water schools are just as frantic, just as desperate. Each group simply teaches a different way to swim in order to get water (become enlightened). One says, swim upwards and shake your tail two times to the right. Another offers a different technique, and of course, each teacher says his is the best. The most effective one. One day, the fish notices another fish who breaks the pattern. He is not only perfectly still, but when he does move, he does so with peace, joy, and equanimity. He asks the master how to be like him. "Just stay still...stay still. There is no strategy. Simply stay still and observe...observe." The fish stays still and observes. After a while, he notices a subtle movement of the body. A gentle back and forth movement. Back and forth, back and forth... Whala! It's body is being moved by water! By an ocean's worth of water! He realizes that he had always already been completely submerged in the very thing he and so many, sought! Did the fish "obtain" anything new? Did the fish "get in" or "out" of anything? The reason this and all examples fall short, is because the Sages tell us that enlightenment is the realization that there is absolutely no one to become or "obtain" enlightenment, and absolutely no one to lose it, to be changed by it, (separation/individuation is but an illusion) etc. It is realized that the ego, the I, the me, the separate self, is nothing more than an impersonal mirage. Ever changing subjective patterning. No inherent reality to it at all. The only Reality being Pure, unbounded Awareness. That is why when a person says he or she is enlightened. You can be certain that it's not the case at all. Anyway, great topic! Great conversation! Thank you!

@@JoshMonreaux Yeah I'm also confused. I've been trying to get my hands on a copy of the source material. I think it's called "Zoroaster's Cave" and connects neoplatonic ideas to Zoroastrianism, which to me is a match made in heaven. It could be that Zoroaster is a Persian archetypal figure similar to Hermes, as a messenger of Wisdom and Truth to man, and therefore the two are interchanged in certain documents perhaps with a particular bias to one name or the other depending on the culture. Either way, lets keep on the path and the truth will be revealed in due time.

I recently read about Jane Dee (John’s wife) who distrusted Edward Kelley but asked him for help with contacting the angels to relieve them from the poverty they were living in. The oil of identity some would call psyche, produced by the spirit flowing through the body like water through the vessels of a tree, the specific composition and ratio of biochemical substances and materials that are burned to provide colorful radiance of each unique consciousness. The soul is the conjunction of breath and body to produce chay nephesh, the living mind, because our entire being is mind and not solely the brain. It's never said to be immortal, quite the opposite. Spirit is the catalytic potential and active flow of a thing, hence all of its material parallels containing those principles in some fashion. Breath, wind, light, fire, oil, water, crystal. These all share the concept of potential transitioning to actual through action. Prima Materia is the most foundational substance from which all else is derived. Without light, nothing would be bound, separate, or capable of informational exchange. Light carries the qualities of radiant, fluid, and solid. Its force is responsible for atomic and molecular bonds. If the atom were viewed as its source and destination? The proton is radiant, the neutron is solid, the electron is fluid. Each atom a different compound of these, a drop of burning oil with differing hues and consistencies. An electron bearing a photon would not be unlike water being tincted. What is burning but rapid decay? Do all particles not burn in this sense? What if mass warping space was like a fire melting glass? The more matter you gather in a region, the greater this 'heat' that we call gravity causes the subtle foundations of space to become more fluidic than crystalline. A little tangential here and there. But my point is that the power found in literal human semen is representative of a far deeper process. Prima Materia is that which has been acted upon by itself to generate all other elements upon its foundation. The One Thing in phases of itself. There's a reason that they called it Tria Prima, because that trine of principles is the most foundational. A new thing cannot be produced without sperm, semen, and ovum - projective, mediative, and receptive. These principles are the components of causality.

Ha, I think I figured out the why to that stone recipe, it's really not that hard at all. Basically what's going in the beginning is you are trying to extract a certain element. The simplest way to do it is mix binders in with it. This is probably why they use mercury. It binds with everything except the element you need. So you filter out the element and you get it ready for the next step which is to grow the crystal. So you place that element in a an environment where it's surrounded by itself, just like when you place a alum crystal on a string in salt water, it's in its perfect environment. The book jewel of alchemy says to place the element wrapped in horse dung. I was thinking there might be a couple reasons for this, no light, humidity from bacteria and bacteria itself. The bacteria are made from the same element just like all living beings are made and bacteria are more concentrated living beings, so as they die they become our salt in the glass of water. After a while, the element grows into the philosophers stone

Also I think the stone gets it's red color from the mention of the water of life. I'm willing to bet the water of life is blood. So you put the element in blood, wrap it in horse dung and let it sit, the blood is like the water in the alum crystal process, but because of its red color it dyes the stone red.

Or know by the terms whereby it is described?....then your like its in us😅..it is in us but its not to be extracted from us, anything its extracted from dies...should definately know this...Other things were misleading also compared to the ancient texts. This is new material for me but in my lack of understanding, there does seem to stand out a blatant contradiction. 1. To be a candidate for an adept, one must put aside reasoning. 2. A part of the preparation necessary to prepare a man for the search of the treasure of the Philosopher's Stone is, LESSON VII: No drunkenness because drunkenness deprives men of their reasoning, resulting in becoming the recipient of all evil. Seems like there is either an error, or the initiate is being asked to don the mask of the fool in order to go forward.

My opinion. Every being is a god because the only being is God appearing as Jesus Christ or Buddha or whatever name. Mercy means judgement like mercury shows the temperature and as referred to as mercy mild in the song Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Glory to the new born King which I consider an accurate song of prophecy in a world where prophecy is constantly being fulfilled. When we close our eyes and look just above the center of our eyes we inevitably establish a visual coherence between our physical vision and our spiritual or imaginary vision. A vortex of some description will automatically appear naturally as an appearance within our imagination seen by our own eyes in the world but we should realize that it began in our imagination because there is no earthly explanation for it's appearance just as anything else we choose or allow ourselves to imagine without choosing. Watching the vortex closely allowing it to evolve and devolve and evolve again is an excellent focal point for meditation in my opinion. A person can't become God because a person is just another thing which appears in the world like an idol but is called the id of man or ego or as Jacob said the face of God. 🙏🔯⚕️

I think finding the prima materia is what the story of Noah's arc is about. It's stripping away all we "know" so we can see, know, what is the actual basis, foundation, of what we know. Noah means peace. God came to peace and repented, changed his mind, because he saw that all he created was evil so he decided best to start again from the beginning. It's really the story of the whole Bible and is repeated several times within the larger story. The flood is the same as the time in the wilderness for Moses and the Israelites/Elohim and later Jesus after John baptized him in the Holy Spirit which is much the same as the Israelites being freed from Pharaoh/Egypt as our ego. Our ego is our belief that we are separate from God. The letters to the seven churches in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ to St John is the same as the self contemplation represented by the wilderness. Elijah saving the child by having him sneeze seven times also represents the purging of errant beliefs as the result of self contemplation. Joshua laid down his mantle to cross the river Jordan (river of Life) before going to Jericho (chaos) to bring the walls down after 7 days of marching revealing what was hidden which I like the analogy of pruning branches with love much more than violent analogies. 🙏⚕️👈The serpent of the Caduceus is the electrical current created by the movement of a conductive fluid(Cerebral Spinal fluid) around a magnetic center (rod, staff, mantle, spinal cord, silver cord of Solomon). so it would make sense for the earthly thing that could create earthly wealth to be (if we go by christian lore universe) of the devil, the tempter, that which seeks to diverge and distract from the spiritual life and instead focus entirely on the materialistic, hedonistic and earthly plain. the quest to find a material which can in turn create even more and more valuable materials, is the polar opposite of the quest of most spiritual pursuits, is it not? it makes no sense for it to be a good end. either it is not of God, or it is a test from him, like other things that his most trusted son Lucifer/Satan is in charge of.
