The jewel of Georgian Bay. Many think the Bustard Islands and the entrance to the French river are the most scenic areas of Georgian Bay. That's our location this week. I also have to swim to retrieve the Seadoo after it drifts away.

There was a fire there called the Parry Sound 33 Fire. It took about 12,000 hectares. It's wild to see with a drone. I have some clips on my channel of my latest ride through as well as last year.

@@bobsudeyko4088 yes so nice did you stop in at the lighthouse? Were you able to get up the rapids? I found one that got me up and all the way into the river and was able to go all the way back to the 400 on the pickerel river.
@bobsudeyko4088
@bobsudeyko4088 11 ай бұрын
@@MarkForrestAdventures I know the Pickerel river. If you got to there then you found a new way in that I didn’t. I was in the entrance that took me as far as the La Dalle rapids. Couldn’t go farther than that. It’s in next weeks video. I look forward to seeing which way you went up.

@@bobsudeyko4088 yes I went and looked at La Dalle but could not get up so went over to the five fingers rapids and found a very tight run that I was just able to get up was quite fun and that got me the rest of the way up the river. Nice look forward to next weeks video.

@@MarkForrestAdventures I will have to look up five finger rapids. Sorry I missed that. So you could then go all the way up to Hartley Bay marina and get fuel there. Any idea how far up the French you can go north of the highway.

Awesome video Bob, love the commentary. You must have quite the microphone setup because your voice is so clear at higher speeds. You certainly are braver than me going into some of these places lol. Your solo videos are the best!

Hi Rick. Definitely easier to make these videos when I am solo. Audio is very important and I use external mikes. More to deal with but the improvement is substantial over the in camera mikes. Thanks for being a regular follower.

Maybe you could have a collapsible paddle to use to help you through the shallow parts and anywhere around small pebbles.

Hey, I have been thinking of buying a new Seadoo jetski and it has the IDF (Intelligent Debris Free) cleaning mode, and I noticed that your Seadoo has the same mode (I think), my question is that do you often use it and how good is it at cleaning all the dirt that gets stuck. Do you still need to manually clean the impeller that suck up all the debris. Thanks in advance and I LOVE to watch your videos!
@bobsudeyko4088
@bobsudeyko4088 11 ай бұрын
Never used it. I think it would clear weeds but would not move a stone or a stick that jammed in the impeller in five years I have needed it maybe once or twice. In those occasions I swam underneath and pulled the debris out with my hand.

I ride in central FL. Loads of seaweed and hydrilla in the local waters for me. I use it all the time and snicker at my family who ride Yamahas. It works fantastic, I never have to get in to clear the intake grate. With all the gators its a nice feature to have.

@@bobsudeyko4088I have iDF on my GTX 300 use it frequently and haven’t had any issues with it. Does a good job clearing weeds. Doesn’t work if you have a rock or wood Jammed in the impeller. We ride the St Lawrence river a lot and some areas are very weedy and glad I have it.

Bob, do you know if its possible to travel by seadoo from Georgian Bay to Ottawa via French River > Lake Nipissing > Ottawa River? I believe it is possible from checking the route on a map, but I thought I'd ask your opinion. About 800km distance. Thanks!
@bobsudeyko4088

No it's not. Several areas along the French that have rapids that require a portage. Also a hydro electric dam at Doris on the top end of the French river towards lake NIpising.
