1 Corinthians 10 is not at all stating Jews are to obey Leviticus 11 and for gentiles its optional. Shaul says all things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial meaning the food thats being sacrificed to idols falls under Leviticus 11 but its not beneficial because some people have an issue with eating meat from the market if it were sacrificed to an idol. He then proceeds to say, when you go to someones home for dinner, eat whatever they serve. Would you suggest if they served pork we should endulge? Certainly not! Its not about pork, or anything unclean. In fact, unclean animals are not even considered "food" to a Jew. Again, its about meat that was sacrificed to idols and aold in a market. We could eat it because the idol is not an idol to us, but if a fellow brother has an issue with it, suggests not to eat it on their account. Regards,
