Just an observation that I made with the Slaughterhouse situation and readily admit that I don't have any details or have seen any contracts but I noticed that Crooked I keeps talking about "bags" while Joe was talking about ownership. The "bag" is the finesse that the industry has ran on Black artists for decades. That bag that's being offered, whoever is behind the bag has already found a way to multiply that bag 20x over. They count on Black artists not being aware of this. That million (arbitrary amount) that they put on the table to you is crumbs to what they projected to make off of whatever it is you are producing. They've done their research and triple checked the analytics that ensures that they'll come up. I don't blame anyone for questioning or not wanting to sign up for "the bag".

There's a side to Joe that is a constructive critical thinker that people really choose not to acknowledge. I do think most people in his position would have crumbled with the Rory & Mal situation and crumbled with the Spotify situation. A lot of people would've signed the Spotify deal, and been livid to see the Joe Rogan deal a few months later, especially as a Top 3 podcast.
