Joe was mad hypocrytical for that Mo'Nique take. To say Taraji was doing the work, was redundant because it was 2 different budjet and stories behind the movie. The Color Purple and Precious are 2 drastically different businnes models and that part is discounted. Precious was an independent movie that got picked up by Tyler and O to invest in after it did so well. Mo did the domestic promotion, but because they didnt expect for this to blow up the way it did, they had no plan on paying international, but it did blow up and the money was there, but they wanted her to work EXTRA, AFTER THE DOMESTIC PROMOTIONS, FOR FREE. So Mo's point was her pay for her contract was 50,000, she was happy with that, outside of that international or extra work equals extra pay. Taraji on the other hand, was complaining about the payment of work that she actually did, the acting part, she wasnt talking about international promomtions OR MAKING HER DO EXTRA WOR WITH NO EXTRA PAY. TARAJI WAS PAID 150,000 DOLLARS AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THAT. SHE DID THE WORK DOMESTICALLY BECAUSE SHE WAS CONTRACTED TO DO SO. SHE SHOWED UP AND TOOK PICS WITH O BECAUSE IT WAS DOMESTIC. Watched on Patreon. The Podcast should have watched the Monique interview as a homework assignment. Luckily Mel watched and could give intelligent feedback. Surprised by Joe’s take on the interview. Monique was telling her truth on other platforms before the Katt interview so when she said the couch makes you tell the truth she was joking. She’s a Comedian and used comedy at times during the interview. Her calling people baby and sugar can get annoying it doesn’t soften the blow but that’s how she speaks. Joe walked away from Spotify because he knew his worth so why he has a problem with her wanting what she deserves or what was taken from her is hard to understand. The Newark boys should watch it then comment. Joe and Flips energy is still weird at times. Flip sees that he is often the butt of the joke, the only time Joe doesn’t interrupt Flip is when he’s making himself look crazy.

Ish is 100% right, she should have left Kevin Hart out of it but Joe is dead wrong. I hate the fact that they discount what she’s been through. She got paid $50,000 for the Precious movie and that’s what she agreed to. She did her tour to promote in the U.S. no problem. Then Lions Gate asked her to go out of the country FOR FREE and she said no thank you. They called Tyler and Oprah who then called her asking her to do it for free. She said no. That’s what all this stems from. We all know Joe would have said hell no and let the world know about it. Mel is right…and Monique is right. Everybody wants her to be quiet but they blackballed her. Also, Joe talks about how distasteful it was for Monique to bring up DL’s daughter. Yet no one talked about DL’s team disrespecting her family first and then going on air and saying he didn’t believe his daughter was sexually assaulted because he liked the guy that did it. After all that y’all sit there and say Monique is the problem?!

Even with Mel, he goes so hard on her and I understand why he gets frustrated at times with her, but it's very disrespectful at times. Also, logic was wrong but it's almost like this society wants to silence the abused and not the abuser. If you haven't experienced trauma on an emotional, and mental level by your parents then sit this one out like you're telling others to do. That karma is coming back around and it's scarring a lot of people.
