Desus was definitely gearing up to go Hollywood the whole time. Used the bodega hive as a jumpstart to his Comedy Central late night career and that shit hurts. Because desus and mero was HOT FIRE. Paradigm shifting and a cultural reset. Seeing how mero carries himself after everything turned on him is not only inspiring, but shows you how he’s really navigating this whole media conglomerate with his wits and team behind him.

@@El_Fonzo nah we’ve been following this split like a true crime documentary. Literally grew up w this duo. We saw how both viceland and showtime started to intervene with the show and it’s humor, along with showtime fucking with the budget or refusing to give them an ample one. Showtime cited victor as the reason the show was ending. Everybody laid their cards on the table right after that. Desus sold, plain and simple. We died for the hive and that nigga shit on our foreheads.
@AnimeProfilePicture11 ай бұрын
You can kinda see how Mero was blind sided. Mero is a street dude who thought authenticity was all he needed. Mainly grounded by the fact his family was well off, Mero could be comfortable to be him. But since the switch over from Vice, writting was on the wall. You could always feel how Desus was able to switch easier. Plus look at interviews they do, Desus talks way more and often over everyone else

I can’t believe they got Mero to talk about what we all wanted to know. It went down exactly as I thought. I don’t fault Desus even though I’m team Mero. That potential life style after getting out of NY everyday life is very tempting. He wanted more as we all should. Now based on his personality I think Desus thought he was more talented than Mero. I’m sure he thought his rise would be much easier than it is. You know fame got to his head and that could happen to anyone. Mero had a family and was grounded by that. While Mero had to think of his family Desus only had to think of himself. Nobody is really wrong in this situation they were moving and different direction and had different goals. At least it didn’t turn ugly between them. I’m sure with the right mediator they can find common ground again and be friends. No one can take what they did and created together.
@AnimeProfilePicture11 ай бұрын
We need Desus's side. Sadly I doubt you'll get it cause there's no benefit to it. Desus always comes off as Hollywood, in that he is aiming for something higher till he is in that socialite status. We can only assume on his character. I seen a video in where Desus explains that he's good at hopping jobs because he's done the best of them and the worst of them. So climbing is always his goal

Detlef Schrempf is crazy, no wonder George Karl never won. He had inferiority issues and was very insecure. The fact that he compared Melo to George Gervin, whom he despised, says everything. Coaches like him are why some players don't have the careers they were expected to have. Now it makes sense why Detroit didn't draft Melo.

I was a day one Desus and Mero fan. Like, pod when it was on SOUNDCLOUD before it blew up. As a huge fan you wanna see them work it out and be brothers, but understand the inevitability of business when things blow... I get it. I hope they work through it, move past it, and find the love and respect in the end. I'm also a nuggets fan for over 40 years. What happened with George is still frustrating. Nothing but love and respect for Melo. He changed the entire organization and anyone that doesn't respect that wasn't with us shooting in the gym in the post mutumbo/pre Melo years. Wish y'all peace and love. You gotta love and respect the journey and remember all of it is what got you here. For better or worse your past birthed your present. Peace.
