FYI Tory Lanez defense team did call the driver to testify during trial and planned to use him. The prosecutors were the ones who panicked and said they weren’t ready to cross examine. They wanted to delay the trial for weeks which the judge granted until after the holiday which would have resulted in a mistrial. Tory’s team requested a shorter break but it wasn’t allowed so they were forced to move on without his testimony
