This is the result of no one holding a star accountable. It's always excuses with Embiid. They've babied him in Philly and it seems he's never grown up due to that approach. He's never had the mental toughness to be the leader of the team.

I don't pay too much attention to Embiid, but I made a quick assumption of his character after the MVP crying and talking trash about other TEAM USA players who were getting praised for their good play.

Let's compare 2 players: Both are Sixers players in their 30's, won MVP, won the scoring champ at least twice and asked for a max extension. Daryl Morey somehow decided to extend one of them with 2+1 years left on the contract while forcing the other to go to China to whinge about mistreatment. Had he played hard ball with both or extended both, Sixers probably wouldn't be in this 2-12 hole right now. Does everyone still think Morey is a genius?
