Yeah, I had that feeling too. The Massey is just heavy and geared differently while the 430 is probably the fastest garden tractor I've owned by far. I love it too! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I mow 7 acres mostly open and level. My 430 will mow as fast as my 757 zero-turn.

The speed difference is worth every bit of the Deere's 50% higher price.

For mowing, I would agree. But most of my tractor work wouldn't be done in high range anyway so I'm not sure if it matters that much in the end. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@tractorstrailsandlivingfree I use high range quite often on my 430. blowing snow for sure is a high range job. low range comes in handy for some loader work (I have a 44 Loader on mine) The biggest thing is I wish 430 was 4x4. that Massey would work circles around the 430 when it comes to loader work.

keep the speed, the Massey will tear it up with work power......the Deere all limp back to the barn in shame unless your a grass cutter

You're right about one thing for sure, that the speed is only really valuable when mowing or snow plowing. It doesn't mean much when digging.
