That part in the first movie I forgot. In the second movie, John had a new home and a new dog, but his new house was blown up by a different person of whom he would kill later. He rented an apartment/condo/hotel room and stayed there. Somebody went there and tried to kill him, but they failed. After that, there was a big fight scene that ended up with the bad guy having a knife through his chest on a bus stop. After that I don't remember
