Funny enough the original cast didn’t even know about Origins Kevin Conroy the voice of Batman accidentally leaked Arkham Knight when a fan asked if he’s in the next “Arkham” game which he replied “I’m not sure if I can talk about that” the fan replied “oh it has been revealed” and he Kevin said “oh yeah I’m in the next Arkham game” the fan said “Arkham Origins?” and Kevin confused said “What’s Arkham Origins”

I just love how the games look like a live action version of the Batman animated series. Asylum does have a more comic cartoonish look for some characters like Gordon for example compared to City and Knight but the world it just looks like Gotham that gothic look where people are stuck in this weird mix of the 1940s and modern times unlike a lot of the modern Batman movies which lack that over the top gothic look and go for a more realistic east coast city like the dark knight movies which are amazing but don't have that retro 1940s mixed with modern artistic which is so unique they go for a more modern look instead.

I really feel what you’re saying, I felt that the most in Arkham City, like it was a huge improvement from Asylum but still retained some kind of animated/cartoonish style. But Arkham Knight. Sweet Jesus. One of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. Literally felt like I was in a new Batman movie from start to finish, the amount of time I spent using the camera mode and taking screenshots. I’m definitely gonna play the entire series again soon 😂

Here’s a tip regarding Inverted Takedowns: After you perform the move on an enemy, it’s a very good idea to jump to another gargoyle and then use your Batarang to cut the rope holding up the enemy you’ve performed the takedown on. Not doing this means enemies are likely to spot you and fire at you if the goon is still hanging from the gargoyle.

14:57 it’s better to use the ground takedown when everyone’s mostly on the ground and/or there at a long distance from you, otherwise they’ll just try and hit u since your guard is down (literally too).

Man, I just absolutely love the BATMAN ARKHAM SERIES as soon as this popped up I had a BIG SMILE ACROSS MY FACE Asylum is my favourite even though everyone has city at the number 1 spot and I agree with everyone that origins is the worst but it isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. @@LiteWeightGaming Sorry I'm hijacking a different comment. I wouldn't recommend Origins first and Asylum and the rest later, as suggested above. It's chronological but isn't necessary. Mainly because the gameplay will feel disjointed. The release order flows better, and story-wise Origins sits quite well between City and Knight. You'll see for yourself, don't want to spoil anything :)

Challenges aren't part of the main game. They're additional game modes that are mostly combat or stealth-oriented. Think of them as "trials" to unlock bonus content.

Asylum, City, Origins, Knight. Origins was made by a different company but is seriously underrated. You can play Origins at any time because it is a prequel to the whole series without any spoilers for the other games. Knight does reference some events in Origins, though.

The Arkham games are fantastic! My personal favorite is Arkham Knight, mostly because it centers around one of my favorite story arcs from the comics. The voice actors for Batman and Joker are the same ones from the classic animated series(Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill) and there's also different suits you wear(like the classic Adam West Batman suit, the Dark Knight suit, etc).

I'm so glad you're (hopefully) playing through this whole series, they're among my favorite games of all time. I'm also glad that I'm getting in the comments early, because for some reason every LP I've seen of this game, no one quite understands or even tries to understand the combat system, which makes it less enjoyable to watch. Try to just hit the attack button once per thug while pointing the left stick in the direction of that thug and don't button mash. If someone is about to hit you between strikes, make sure to press the counter button once. Using the evade move a bunch helps a ton as well, as it doesn't drop your combo. The games are a lot more fun if you can get good at the system and get really high combos while using quick gadgets and get to use special combo moves. Either way, I'll keep watching because you have a great personality, button mashing or not. :)

I won't spoil it, but after the end of Arkham City, going back to a prequel like Origins has some sort of thematic relevancy because it shows you the beginning of certain relationships that you saw in Asylum/City. Again, no spoilers, but play Origins after City.

Just a tip, don't mash attack. Your combo counter is important and it resets when you miss an attack.

I'll add, you can move at full speed while crouched without being detected. Less practical, but track down every single collectible when you can. They're worth it for the story.

They're so much fun and the Joker from these games is probably my favorite iterations of the character I managed snag three of the Arkham games for free back in 2019 when Epic Games had a special offer running for Batman's 75th Anniversary or something

You can tell this game is old with the facial animation but the game play and mechanics still hold up and are better than a lot of games coming out in 2020/2021. The environment also still looks amazing after all these years.

43:11 It was also Boles who burned down Blackgate Prison so Joker's thugs would have to be transferred to Arkham so Joker could use them to take over the asylum. That's why Boles angrily tells Joker to shut up when he talks about the Blackgate fire and why Joker says Frank will get into trouble for not keeping his mouth shut. It was basically "Frankie. Stop talking before Bats realises you set the fire."

Word of advice, stop button mashing during combat. You break your combo every time you miss a hit. You gotta press the buttons rhythmically. The Arkham Series is known for creating "combat flow style" for a reason. I'm glad you're having fun with the game, I can't wait to watch more. Major props for reading the bios btw

Me two. Knight was too tankieeeee for me and City didn't have enough tension in the story until Protocol 10 actually started, so it gets boring for me.
