Their take on Joker was refreshing, an homage to its predecessor. What they do with his character will depict how much of an impact he'll have, although he already seems to have done so in the most positive way. Heath Ledger will always be remembered his lines were so impactful that it really hits in the society we live in today. All you need to do is look at his lines write them down and you realise his thinking is logical but yet very scary.

Joaquin's was more of a Joker who slowly poisons us with his subtle underplay of various emotions transparent enough to make ourselves feel it through his mind in its complete depth. Heath's on the other hand can be compared to a complex puzzle that manipulates our thoughts till the end and cunningly misleads us through confusing clues, every time we get close to decoding it. Joaquin's performance was much more raw, realistic and quite disturbing too. Whereas Heath's was complex, intimidating and unpredictably engaging throughout. While Joaquin's character was well defined and evolved within the plot, Heath's crossed the barrier and since then is being constantly subjected to various interpretations as to its possible motives. To be precise we watch "Joker" through Arthur's perspective however we get to know about the sadistic clown from multiple point of views within "The Dark knight". Both of them were talented underrated actors and dedicated in their own respects. Both became widely recognised after they put on the disguise of the infamous villain, Heath though a lot more due to his unexpected demise after the shoot of the movie. While Joaquin absorbed the character to himself, Heath transformed completely into it. Joaquin was phenomenal but Heath is eternal.
