They are doing the exact same thing to Roar as they did with Colossus. The only difference is that they chose a completely new name. They could have called it Roar Reborn or something similar to Twisted Colossus, but chose a unique theme instead.

Went on it twice. First drop caught me by surprise the first time, was not expecting it to be so steep. The inversions we're amazing. Seriously, I think I felt more thrills in this then Medusa (which is still an awesome coaster).

I could nitpick the crap out of this (only 100 feet tall, no tunnel, the pre-lift hill section on Roar was more exciting, the stations don't seem to have been changed at all...) but at the end of the day I'm sure this will be the best roller coaster in all of Northern California and I'm stoked it's coming to my home park!

I am a bit bummed about the lack of tunnel, if only because that was one of Roar's best elements and I had absolutely convinced myself RMC was going to put a double barrel roll or something through there.

Well I was actually hoping for a steeper lift hill like Goliath at Six Flags Great Adventure. I think then they could have easily gotten it up to 120 feet if they went that route. As of now if I'm not mistaken they're basically just adding new foundations to what was already existing of Roar's lifthill structure. But still, absolutely NOT complaining especially after seeing recent construction photos. That first drop looks ridiculously steep and twisted in a totally unique way.

Take Knott's Berry Farm (love this park, I live near it), they are renovating their wooden coaster, and Knott's has the best Halloween event, out of all the CF parks, if not all other theme parks. CF parks don't tend to build the same rides because it is a reason to visit them all. Six Flags and Disney have the same rides at almost every park (MM has soo many different rides you just have to visit) cutting down a reason to visit all the parks

I'm going to miss Roar as it was one of my first coasters, but this is a nice upgrade as it keeps a lot of Roar's old track layout, but it's still improved. I'm excited for it to open. If only they'd replace Boomerang and upgrade Kong :|

Alex Hmmm didn't someone die from getting hit by a rollercoaster the over week in America? At least us brits know how to be safe and not go and jump in front of a coaster :/ The smiler accident is still being investigated and so far it seems to be a sensor problem which then it could well be the manufactures problem. They've done it with Texas giant, iron rattler, wicked cyclone, twisted colossus, medusa steel coaster, and soon joker, and storm Chaser. That's what rmc (roller coaster company) does.

Wildcat is one of my favorite wooden coasters and is fine the way it is. I don't ever find it painful at all. Comet is the rough one, in the back at least

This ride looks really cool don't me wrong, and do to my family I have no choice but to go on it anyway. But I was the cart, it dose not look safe for an inside down roller coaster. I wish it had I cart like medusa so you are strapped from the top down. I hate how all new roller coasters have the cart that only keep you down from your legs so there is nothing to hold on to. Anyone can fall out of them, not that the parks would care because they just want money. Little kids sneak in to the rides all the time and they can fall out because they are to small to stay in the bars. I like the ride I just just feel 100% safe going on it. Because if the bar accidentally come undone, your screwed.

I know what you're saying but I've been on plenty of rides that flip you upside down and only have the leg bars. Trust me, unless there is a freak malfunction- there is no way you're getting out of them. With the pull down shoulder bars you can actually still wiggle around a bit. With the leg bars you seriously can't move at all. It looks strange but believe me, when the bar goes over your legs you'll realize real quick that you couldn't budge if you wanted.

I know I sound really strange for this but, I always think someone is going to unlock the bars while everyone is still on the ride. I do t know if that is even posable, it's just the way the bar looks that gives me that idea. This is the only lap bar coaster I've been on.

I have a question for you how come you never came to Hersheypark to ride the laff track coaster and how come you never posted a video on this channel of laff track arm Hersheypark? I would like to see Rob ride that coaster and see what he thinks of that ride Hersheypark closes for winter soon there is still time to get on laff track this summer yet if you miss riding it you can ride at Halloween and at Christmas time for Hersheypark candyland. I will not ride that coaster because I don't like spinning coaster or rides that spin.

They don't allow cameras of any kind inside Laff Trakk. It doesn't spin nearly as much as the average spinning ride. In fact it barely spins at all.

Six Flags has a partnership with a manufacturer called Rocky Mountain Construction, which provided the Iron Horse overhauls of several rides across the chain. Colossus was just one of the rides they worked on; they also revamped Texas Giant (SFoT), Rattler (SFFT), Medusa (SFM), and Cyclone (SFNE), and built Goliath for Six Flags Great America.
