In the game Injustice: Gods Among Us, when Batman confronts Joker as he's about to set off the nuclear bomb, Batman tells him "You push that button and 8 million die." technically this is the alternate dimension where the bomb did not go off, but it's probably a fair estimate as the two realities are very similar. I'd say you can put the killcount for injustice at roughly 8 million. (8 million and two, darling)

One theory of Joker’s fascination with Batman is that he is gay for Batman but because he’s so fucked in the head that he can only channel it into murder and mayhem in a morbid way to get Bat’s attention. I'm sure smodcast fans probably know this but in case you don't then Hollywood babble on did a radio play in several parts of the comic where Joker blows up the schools if anyone is interested in hearing the whole story while reading it yourself. It's actually really funny to listen to with Ralph Garman doing some amazing impressions, like Adam West Batman but in a much more serious way than the 66 show, and you also get some backstory to the comic itself since Kevin Smith was the one who wrote this.
