Nice video. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to cover the walls of my 1500 sq. ft. steel building with (after having closed cell foam sprayed in) and finally settled on 3/4" T&G plywood...I don't regret it. I also ran all of my wiring through conduit on the wall surface instead of in the wall like I did in our "Party Barn". I wanted the Party Barn to have a look that was a little more home-like but also with a touch of industrial (pulley type lighting, big beam dining rm table light, angle iron for corner molding, etc.). In the shop, I have had to change wiring (or add on) so many times that I am SOOO happy it is not buried in the wall.

I had all of my electrical run in conduit in the shop I had two shops ago. It worked and had its advantages. I am making a 2 foot wide access are for all the electrical and air. The larger power drops are coming from the ceiling.

@@pkwoodworking I like the idea of the access area...as mentioned in another video comment, I am adding 1200 sq. ft. onto my shop and may have to look at how your access works out.

PK it’s coming along. I do have to make two framing comments though. I’ve been building for over 33 years and I’ve never seen 4x6 headers installed like that, turned flat, very interesting. It’s not using the full strength of the beam. And I’ve always done a double sill plate at my window openings. But hey, it’s not going anywhere, just my preference. Thanks for the video.

Where I live in CA the whole building was engineered. Yes, a "Garage" had to be stamped by an engineer. Wait til you see the footing addition we needed. Really crazy stuff. Already had 7 inspections. They have been quick and great. The city has been much more responsive than I ever expected and the framing sign off today was finished with the senior inspector giving out kudos to the work.
