As you said an amazing ride. I got new tires and a full service just before I left Vancouver. Did three long days on the way up to Dawson City, 2 to Inuvik a day round trip to Tuk and two back to Dawson City. From Dawson city I went through Chicken, to Fairbanks then Denali Anchorage and Back on the Alaska Highway to WhiteHorse Dawson Creek HWY 97 to Osoose and Hope Princeton home. The bike was needing it next service when I got home. I still haven’t gotten it clean yet. Although it’s been pressure washed a few times.

Great Video and Drone footage. I did the Dempster to Tuk solo in 2018 with a Yamaha Super Tenere. Your videos bought back many good memories. Thanks for posting !!

Thanks for watching. The reason I did the videos was mostly so I could remember the trip. But I'm glad it can bring back memories for others too. It's such an incredible place to ride.

Hi Tim, I watched your first one so had to see the conclusion. You are a far braver man than I completing such a journey so kudos to you. I'm sure this has made you stronger and more confident than ever now. The sheer logistics of the journey is something to me mentioned too. Like 934 kms in one day with no gas stations on gravel. How much fuel you would have had to carry, and how you contended with sheer exhaustion. When I do long bike trips I can barely handle up to 500-550 kms max in a day, and that's on pavement. By that point my butt is so sore and my leg starts to seriously cramp up, I have to stop, more and more often the farther I try to go. I can't even imagine 962 kms on dirt in a day.

Thanks for watching! Yes, it's a lot of km's riding. I did about 8500km in 11 days. There are gas stops on the Dempster, 370km is the longest stretch. I carried a 5L gas can, but never needed it. The days get very long and I was very sore and tired by the end. But if you want to go up north, everything is far away. I loved the trip and think it's well worth it. (the 934km day was not all on gravel, Whitehorse to Dawson city is paved. That day we rode from the Rock river campground to Whitehorse. The Dempster is about 900km of gravel each way which we broke into 3 days)

I am so glad that to took this trip and your videos have inspired me. It is great that you met Jason on the road! Does he have a KZbin channel? Can I suggest a follow up video? Gear and tire review. I would love to know what worked and what you would do differently. Take care! Dave

Tire review may come at some point, but the gear review is harder because I would have to remember what I took, lol. One tip if you have soft bags, take everything in at night so your battery pack doesn't get stolen the first night. 🙄

I think it's good to practice so you know how before you need it. Also, then you know how far it shoots.

👍👍 Two thumbs up for the whole trip & videos. Do they still hold “Ironbutt” rides; you’d do well!

Not sure what is required for an iron butt ride, but by the end I had a really sore butt, that's for sure.

Hi from New Zealand. I’m looking to do this in 2023. What is the best time/month to do this trip. I’ll be riding from Vancouver. Thanks Mark

Well it kinda depends on the year and weather conditions. I went at the end of June and ice had just come off the rivers so the ferry could run 2-3 weeks before. September would start to be a little late on motorcycle I would think. So late June to August would probably be best. FYI, hotels get really full, so book ahead.
