I forgot about this game for years until today. I spent so many hours playing this with my dad when I was in elementary school. Incredible nostalgia for me. I remember us coming up with an elaborate map of the tunnels on a napkin before realizing they had inscriptions on the ceiling at the intersections! 20+ years later and I still remember that. My dad passed in 2013, thank you for letting me relive these hours of my childhood that I spent with him.

They did Myst in VR and turned out great. It’s possible! The issue is the FMV stuff. You could reshoot it in 3D with new actors but then it gets expensive.

I think it's cool the William Dalton character went from a 'good luck buddy' message on the answering machine in burried in time to a full fledged supporting character. Dude had more acting chops than the main character imo.

First, create a folder anywhere on your computer to install the game. Run the installer in compatibility mode for what the game was meant to run on, probably windows 98 for this game. When it asks you to install in the default location, instead you'll choose for it to install the game into that other folder you created. You can get a cheap computer tower with a cd drive on facebook marketplace or something. Always run the game in compatibility mode for win 98 or whatever

Aren't there at least 3 other agents since Gage is Agent 5 implying there are Agrents 1-4? Does the game seriously expect us to believe that they couldn't call any other agent but a proven criminal who betrayed her organization and her best friend to come into work when the entire Earth was facing an invasion by an alien force?

Its a tacky joke about how the time suit is their clothing. The other agents have their own missions/jobs to worry about. In addition, I imagine Michelle and Gage are the most well-suited as they have the most knowledge in regard to the current situation. Arthur won't exactly fit well on the other Agents, in regard to compatibility. Its all about *plot armor*

So they aren't unavailable according to the story itself.

Does anyone know why the gaming industry totally abandoned the technique of using real actors and video in games? As a kid I assumed this was the way to go and would be improved upon but by 2000 this was entirely abandoned and I always wondered why. Watching this reminded me of my confusion and in my opinion this live acting is better than anything we have today 20 plus yrs later. Also isn’t it easier from a designing standpoint to simply insert video of actors rather than have to design things from scratch?
