Ive been really struggling in the lee matchup, my roommate mains lee and gives me a real hard time. Trying to step ff3 is dreadful, and if i get hit im in a horrible spot. If i block it i cant punish. Its actually miserable

Matchup is tough for me, and I get locked down very quickly. also sucks only seeing them every now and again. so i’m sure with time i’ll get more comfortable.

Ff3 has “phantom range”, all of Bryan’s “keep out” moves lose to it as well to Lee’s b,db4. Bryan’s hurtbox is HUGE, while his hitbox is small and precise. Lee is much faster obviously, side step him mostly to the right and use 4-strings while mixing in SS2,1.

I know man yesterday I fought a vicious lee ! And couldn’t handle him that good ! His poking his mixups were too good ! I’ll upload the matches tonight! And we’ll discuss what I should’ve done differently ! For his anti stuff what we can do in the first place ! His weak side is left ! Ff3 won’t touch you on precisely taken side step ! But ff3 is exactly like Jin’s ff2 and Kazuya’s ff2 ! I wish I could speak English and express myself better with right words ! Every people play differently! Everyone has his own play style ! I’m point out a category where people play like they do keep out game ! Paul will do ff21 ! D12 death fist qcb4 qcb1 ! And db2 ! Every move he does creates a space even if he is at minus ! And you try to press button and walla df2 comes and launch you ! That’s how Lee players use ff3 ! They create the distance then do the side step or baiting game ! Bryan will not reach him ! What ever you try he will step ! If you do the qcb1 he’s definitely gonna bait you! Here’s we have to force over selves to stop attacking and frustrate over opponent to do the mistake ! And one more tip is when ever you feel like your opponent move is safe (not in plus frames) do d4 while doing turnings ! Play safely don’t get trapped into opponents strategies

You’re absolutely right on everything, Bryan can’t reach several characters but they can reach him…Bryan IS NOT a keepout character 😩. Nina, Jin, Shaheen, Lidia, Steve and Jack are also great at pushing Bryan back, keep him out and ch him. Paul and others have df2 that crush Bryan’s jab and launch 3+4 and f4 from distance. Against Lee I too SSL and duck his strings, especially his wr2,3. His rocket kick is punishable with ff2, and his Hitman 2 (uppercut) is -13. I mostly try to stay close to Lee and duck his highs and launch with wr1 or wr3. Jab into ff4 up close is so sweet especially on Lee, Paul and Kaz.

b3,3 is overrated, not alot of damage, and really launch punishable, its good but its not the perfect move, as for ff3 in heat, its great but just step it
