I'm a singer and though I sing to backing tracks in the studio I've never done it in a live situation, especially at this level of scrutiny! I'd much rather do the song a capella so I could focus purely on the song and its meaning and pour it out to the audience than have to make sure I'm keeping up with a pre-recorded thing. But that's just me. I know a lot of folks do this very, very well but it's not for me.

Perfect pitch has nothing to do with the tone of the voice though. It means that you can pick out the pitch (like singing a middle C without somoene giving you the pitch). You can't tell if she has perfect pitch or not from her singing well.

Professional singers do lip sync sometimes......just think if they just straight sang to audiences all the time....they would strain themselves. They can't sing live all the time, I went to a Beyonce concert and even Bey lip sung, they were playing her songs and she lip sung with the music. Have you ever noticed after all the dancing, when the artist speaks, there is no heavy breathing or sound out of breath, it's because they do lip sing. The way the gentleman on the far right expressed himself was so beautiful. Instead of just saying she sounded amazing, he said that her voice has “a charming effect “ and that it “wins sympathy.” That’s beautiful. Some vocalists have what's called harmonics in their voice naturally. Polyphonic. My daughter has it. Aida has fantastic pitch and the two tones(or maybe it's an overtone in her case), because they are so tight, it can confuse the human ear into thinking that she hits every note perfectly. It's more likely she has perfect pitch. She's really special.

And the pleasant girl who went on singing even after them nasty fs accused /insulted her - is a typical Slavic behavior of a Russian person from Siberia, for example. Back in Ussr, in Moscow for example, nobody would hire a housekeeper from Ukraine, cuz they were plain nasty, smartasses talking back to you. And now all that pleasant kind, lol, roams Europe demanding (!) that Germans and Brits give them food, their homes, hb’s and firstborn sons, so to speak. Nice. Good luck, lol!!

@@bradfowler6464 if you can't hear the processing, you're inexperienced. she is clearly a great singer. they think she is lip syncing because her voice sounds unnatural, when it is the processing that does that. they proved she's not lip syncing, when to the experienced ear, that isn't the question to begin with. And I don't fault her at all, every good live performer uses effects to some degree. to recap, the artificial sound of her voice is there from the added effects, nothing to do with lip syncing, so the focus on that is logically inconsistent, almost a red herring. good for views though.

Personally, I think she produced the accompanying music herself and performed the backup singing also which contributed to the confusion. She did it so well it did sound like it was done commercially. Seems like she has more than one talent. The judge explained why they stopped her and asked her to sing acapella. As it is a competition, that is apology enough. He also complimented her performance extremely well. He did his job.

Nothing to do with perfect pitch. Perfect pitch means being able to sing a note exactly - like if they asked her to sing a G above middle C and she just hit it. You can have perfect pitch and a terrible voice...

I have seen and heard natural voices exactly like hers where people use their lower breath power to control their singing and their pitch like this lady does too instead of opening their mouth a lot. It is a more bodily efficient and powerful way to sing and to project sound with better pitching, but on the downside it can sometimes sound a little bit on the flat or nasal side in places as it lacks the typical more guttural open mouth quality that a lot of others singers use, especially in the west.
