He is Nigerian YES but I love how he embraces Ghana as well. Ghana and Nigeria together make something beautiful and the union is special, we are africans, we are one! Love Mr Eazi

true,but how if Mr easy was a criminal you ghanians will be the one to point out where the guy came from. For example the past Ghana award

This mentality is old and needs to stop. "You ghanaians"?! There's no need for such remarks. Music is music at the end of the day and we are all Africans. Lets boost each other instead of attacking one another. Much love x

+A O S Koko don't get me twisted I love Ghana and the people there are lovely people, I lived there years back before I travelled abroad, is the place I first hit my jackpot in life, but let call a spade a spade the past Ghana award is ridiculous for them to make that statements I think a lot of foreign artists won award in Nigeria without bias mind
@akusabiiga8 жыл бұрын
you are wrong brother, ghanaians have embrace many people from different countries like Liberia, Nigeria, Togo etc. Mr. Easi never said he holds a Ghanain citizenship. VGMA is for Ghanaian citizens except the international act category, so guy should told everyone that he holds Ghana passport.

That is really bad. It just like saying Nigerians should tell Lola Rae that she can't be nominated because she is not Nigerian by blood she was only born in Nigeria. Lola Rae is not fully Nigerian, none of her family is Nigerian she was only born there so that is not fair if Ghana says that to mr eazi
@taii_chii67828 жыл бұрын
she's half Nigerian btw
@foxygoldie36098 жыл бұрын
+chinenye Anyadi nope she has no Nigerian blood in her. She was just born in Nigeria she is not a citizen tho. Just because u were born in a foreign land doesn't mean u are from there. For example If u were born in Dubai, that doesn't mean u are a citizen of Dubai. Will u go and meet d Arab govt to give u citizenship just because u born there. She is only claiming Nigeria coz she knows that is where her music can work coz Nigeria has more money than Ghana or any other African countries. She knows that in terms of fame and money in Africa , Nigeria is one of d big producer of music especially afrobeat She is not half anything coz she has no Nigeria blood flowing in her veins. She is not Nigerian by root however mr eazi has extended family in Ghana therefore two different case. In the UK just because u were born there doesn't not mean u are a citizen.

Foxy Goldie mate her mum is Nigerian.
@foxygoldie36098 жыл бұрын
+chinenye Anyadi no her mum is not Nigerian. Her mum is Ghanaian and her dad is white British. Which makes her a British Ghanaian. Her mum is not Nigeria do you research well coz she even said her mum is Ghanaian on Britain. Britain got talent is an entertainment show in the UK.
@rachaelahmed30908 жыл бұрын
+Foxy Goldie tanks so much for the explanation I have no idea why nigerians r dragging him.... am a nigerian but he's music can't b compared to d way nigerians sing let Ghana have him. He's sings like a ghanian nd can never b compared to naija music

Nice interview. Mr Eazi comes across as an interesting young man; a calm achiever. However, I wonder that he spoke of his mum and uncles but made no mention of his father and DSF did not ask him about that.

I feel for my Ghanaian brothers to know that the biggest Ghanaian artist is Nigerian . You guys need to import talent from Nigeria .i would feel bad if another artist come and dominate the music industry in Nigeria . I think it's better Ghanaian call him an international art .. I see this blowing out of control when is bigger than this . He had a Yoruba father and Igbo mum, born in port harcourt and raised in Lagos and you are still claiming him. Let it go my Ghanaian bothers ... You just need to look for more Ghanaian talent ... It's abundant in Nigeria ... I actually taught he was Ghanaian ... The British feel bad also when they know tinie tempha is Ibo boy ... Naija for life

Lol, no. DSF was right. The only category a Non-Ghanaian can be nominated for in the VGMAs is the 'Best African Act', which Wizkid won. The other categories are exclusive to the Ghanaians.

My advise to Eazi, be original and say it the was it is you are a Nigerian artist residing in Ghana period. You sound and style is deep in Ghana and Nigerian beat and sound. Show love to Ghana but be original .. It may affect your music . I could pay for sarkodie perform in Nigeria . But his a Ghanaian art however you don't need to claim 10% Ghanaian to be accepted ... Wizkid is loved in all African countries and he does not need to claim them. So be real . You are a Nigerian art residing in Ghana .fusing the Naija sound and Ghana sound create a new sound and we should accept you for that . I am sure everybody would accept you for that . Because if u keep going like this u would alienate your self from endorsement in Nigeria and Ghana and would impart ur fan base for not been real .
