Loved the countdown with the buns. Every great line cook comes with an internal timer alerting the food is ready. Normally fifteen seconds is max, any,ore time spent can be used to work on another dish. 👍 Assembly of burger should have been burger, carmelized onion/mushroom topping, then the cheese. The melted cheese keeps everything in place. Our version was flame broiled with three cheeses and sautéed onions and mushrooms. Of course, it was called the Omaha burger. Great job, Sam💯

A beautiful burger, and great recipe. The only thing I did differently was to start the onions first, and then the mushrooms. Onions take a little longer to carmalize. Then just before they were all done, add just a splash of Sherry, cover over a very low flame, and let the simmer down.. Yes sir. Now you have something truly amazing. Thanks for a great video.

At most places I've been to over the years a Steakhouse Burger is Either one of two things. Either it's a Handcut burger made from hand dicing a Steak and then pressing it into a Pattie or it's a Ribeye or something that's been Very Coarsely ground. The Idea is that the pieces of beef making up the burger are larger then normal so the mouthfeel when you eat it is more like eating pieces of steak then it is ground meat.

@fnjesusfreak2 жыл бұрын
Neither, really, is A1, which is the closest thing you usually find here (I can, in fact, buy HP locally). I've taken to referring to A1 as brown sauce because, far as I'm concerned, it's just a different formula for the same basic thing. Like the difference between French's mustard and Gulden's mustard. (And although I don't put it on *everything* in a full American, I do use it on homefries. Got the idea from a Scot)

Good spin in a classic pub burger! Everyone is so set on smashburgers now, that you do not see a good, medium rare fat burger anymore. I'm fortunate to live very close to Peter Luger's, and they do a great lunch burger like this. As far as the brown sauce (HP Sauce) I lived in Leicester for some time, and it's a favourite of mine! I'll take over A1!
