Story:
Once upon a time in a lively jungle, an exciting race was announced! All the animals were thrilled. The cheetah, the fastest animal, laughed, "I’ll win easily!"
Hippo, the slow and bulky animal, decided to join. "You, a racer?" laughed the other animals. Hippo replied calmly, "I’ll give my best."
The cheetah and other fast animals were overconfident. They ate snacks, skipped practice, and joked about the race. “Who needs practice?” they said.
Meanwhile, Hippo and other slow animals like rhinos and turtles worked hard. They exercised, ate healthy food, and practiced running every day.
Two months passed. On race day, the jungle was buzzing. All the animals gathered to cheer. The cheetah strutted proudly, while Hippo looked determined.
As the race began, the cheetah dashed ahead. The crowd roared, but the slow animals like Hippo kept their steady pace.
Midway, the cheetah started panting. “Why am I so tired?” he wondered. He hadn’t realized all the snacks had made him slower!
Meanwhile, Hippo and the rhinos, full of energy from their training, gained speed. The audience was amazed. “Look at them go!” they shouted.
The cheetah, used to being in the lead, watched in shock as Hippo and other slow animals passed him. His confidence began to crumble.
Hippo ran steadily, remembering his training. “Slow and steady wins the race,” he told himself. The crowd cheered loudly for his effort.
As the finish line came closer, the cheetah pushed harder but couldn’t keep up. Hippo and his friends showed true determination.
The race ended. Though Hippo didn’t win first place, he ranked in the top 10! The cheetah, once a favorite, ended up seventh.
The audience erupted with applause for Hippo. “You’ve shown us hard work beats speed!” they said. Hippo beamed with pride.
The cheetah felt ashamed. “I should’ve trained harder,” he admitted. He apologized to Hippo, who forgave him with a big smile.
The jungle learned a lesson that day: effort and practice matter more than talent. Even the slowest can succeed with determination!
