Inside the radioactive exclusion zone of the Chernobyl Power Station is the site of the former Jupiter a Factory. Officially this large factory site made radios, but unofficially it is thought to have been an arms manufacturer for the Soviet Union. Despite the dangerous levels of radiation the factory continued its work after the nuclear accident at the power station and the subsequent evacuation of the surrounding area.
In the factory basement there are high levels of radiation inconsistent with the levels above and in the rest of the factory, indicating that something else has caused them as opposed to naturally occurring contamination from the accident at the power plant.
