Surreal and beautiful but also creepy and saddening to watch. All those people who lost their lives and families destroyed :/ Yet i really wanna visit the region once. Just to walk around

ye, same....just too bad that those vehicle graveyards are disappearing and most of them have already...understandable though that they wanted to get rid of them as ppl went into the zone illegally over the years to get parts from those vehicles and didnt care about the danger.

I'm sure I've been on a virtual tour of that place when I was playing all three of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

A pity the biggest amount of them gets/got already dismantled. :/ BTW: Nice VIdeo! :)
@OsmosisHD8 жыл бұрын
+Rubelkoenig I think they completely destroyed it on purpose. You don't want sketchy figures getting those vehicles and selling them without telling "oh yeah their highly contaminated" Like a old Ural truck still intact.. it can go for quite some money
@Rubelkoenig8 жыл бұрын
Exactly, but most is done by the Chernobyl Zone Agency and the ukrainian governement. They are dismantling everything to bury it in the dispository of nuclear waste or they are selling it as metal scrap, like several vehicles who have been decontaminated due to rain over the last 30 years. But it's sad, you can't find one vehicle as they left it there after their work was done after the accident. There are parts missing everywhere.

Well that means after all these years they finally completed the work of getting rid of these vehicles. Atleast we have all the vids and pictures of these vehicles and vehicle graveyards to remind us of just how huge number of people were involved in the whole operation in the aftermath of the accident. One might say that they should have kept those vehicle graveyards around for tourist attractions but in the end the contaminated vehicles were "nuclear waste" essentially and had to be get rid of.

Certainly is Condlaur, it is my friend Alex2, he is easy to spot as he is moving. I am harder to see as I am standing still with the controls of the drone.

Yep...but that graveyard does not exist nowadays
@Crazy-places8 жыл бұрын
The one shown in this video certainly still exists, I was there recently. I believe that is Rossokha. The others, such as Rassorva have now gone.
@drakevevo37107 жыл бұрын
they cut up all the cars there and buried them, because the metal contained radiation.
@SapphireX4137 жыл бұрын
The most recent satellite images of Rassokha show no vehicles remain
@Crazy-places7 жыл бұрын
The video was shot in October 2015. The zone changes on an almost daily basis.
@Rubelkoenig7 жыл бұрын
The remains of the vehicles have still been there in early 2016. It's directly on the opposite of Rossokha. Rassorva doesn't exist by the way, it's just a pronunciation mistake someone made once according to Rossokha. Burjakivka still exists, but they are also excavating the vehicles there, which have been buried in the early years after the accident in the ground. It still will take a little while until those on the cemetary there are gone.

Your mopey music is a huge turnoff. It was rusting junk. And it's gone.

Speak for yourself....I think its fitting and adds some atmosphere.... Rusting junk IT may have Been, but much of that junk was used Back in the day with rescue, evacuation and cleanup operations.....so they have a history, everything there has some kind of history....call me sentimental fool If you want, but thats how I feel.
