The defendants would have won the case, had he not signed an agreement to refund the plaintiff. It is a simple case. Unless the defendant did withheld information from the plaintiff then plaintiff would have had a case. Defendant sent someone to verify the land, took video and agreed to purchase the land.

I think this is a case of Mai Angwa (Original owners of the land) customary law which was bycotted when payments of N2m was made. The seller was at fault here for not settling percentage to the Mai Angwa who were aware of change of ownership. As for the buyer he still has the right of ownership for the land as soon as he pays the balance. Unfortunately, he's not interested as bodies were buried. I don't blame him. No one wants to buy a land where bodies will be exhumed. Customery laws can be very tricky!!! Judge Funmi Weldon Ma 👏👏👏👏👏
