Bloody brilliant track. You can hear Orbital, Chemical Bros, Prodigy, all the 'big beat' stuff taking inspiration from this. How the KLF managed everything they did is astounding. Art-rave experiments from beyond acid house.

Orbit started around the same time so did The Prodigy. It wouldn't be surprise me if the The Klf we're influenced by The Art of Noise.

@@Pauldjreadman yeah, I'm not necessarily saying 'sole inspiration', nor that they inspired the beginning of said artist's careers. Just that I can hear bits of KLF in bits of t'other acts' works. Which is the nature of dance music, after all, they all borrow from each other.

Sure I meant the sleevenotes further elaborated on The JAMs' inspiration: "Through the downpour and diesel roar, Rockman and Kingboy D can feel a regular dull thud. Whether this is the eternal echo of a Victorian steam driven revolution or the turbo kick of a distant Northern rave is irrelevant. Thus inspired, The JAMS climb into the back of their truck and work."

Heard this at a rave in cambridge one damp december evening, already knew the track being a huge klf fan at the time, but never heard it in a rave before, not while i was off me nut, and omg, the extended version is beyond awesome, what with all the smoke and lasers flying through the air, hands up, it was a memorable moment to say the least! At one point the klf were probably one of the most sampled groups during their time, ironic considering their origins, but you would hear the original version of What Time Is Love on various acid rave tracks with just some vocals thrown over the top, you would think the klf are being played and it would be some other track that just sampled huge chunks of the klf and called it their own, again, the irony is not lost on me and it should not be with you =) I still have all my KLF vinyl after all these years, got this on white label, as well as all the pure trance releases, and the majestic Space, the only thing missing is Chill Out, but i still have that on CD and a ripped mp3 which still gets played to this day!
