We all seen that MVP year was quite a fluke, Lamar has not been anything close to that MVP year, I wouldnt say thats the blue print, We’ve seen the so called blue prints for “Mobile” QB’s like Cam, Lamar, Hurts, but then they all regress after that 1 year, there is not a successful blueprint for them, they all just need to develop a successful QB passing game, and none of them have accomplished that, If Fields wants to be a QB in the league, he needs to do just that be a QB, Use his ability to elude pressure in the pocket but not use it to run, but to create broken play opportunities downfield, Like Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson who are all capable of having incredible running stats, but know they could sacrifice it by looking for the better play, which is looking down field, in those scramble opportunities

Fields did not call out coaching. He openly brought up the fact that he had a discussion with the coaches that he felt like he was over coached. Getsy is a major issue in Chicago. He tried to mold Fields into Aaron Rodgers, his gameplans are for Aaron Rodgers, not Justin Fields. Why he refuses to adjust it makes no sense to me. I think I have a grasp on the game. Getsy's offense impresses me. The only game that didn't go well was against the Chiefs. They left no man open ! I just watch so many breakdowns ( old habit from coaching) and cannot believe how open the players are.. Nobody realizes that the Bears had 3 receivers last year that were in the top 10 of seperation from the defender. I am also sick of hearing everything blamed on the O-Line.. they do screw up at times, but the avg time needed for them to hold off defenders is 2.5-2.7 seconds. When the QB holds ball for over 4 seconds.. what do you think is going to happen.. he will be pressured, sacked and running for his life. I think two things are true in this scenario: 1. Justin Fields is not the caliber of QB that can elevate a team to contending status, he needs a team built around him and coaching to make use of his legs. 2. The situation in Chicago has been a dumpster fire for a long time now, and they’ve stunted his growth more than helped him. Personally I’d like to see him go to a team that could make better use of him as he develops. A team like the Saints, Rams or Vikings all feel like good choices with either weapons, offensive minded coaches or both to help him develop.

The most Chicago thing the Bears can do is pick Caleb Williams. He is very talented, but he is dramatic, moody, and not a good team mate. I would pick Fields as he is over Caleb williams any day of the week. If they trade Fields and get another 1st round pick, and go all in for Caleb, I promise you they will be drafting early next year. And to prove my point, look at how Caleb Williams is demanding ownership in whatever team drafts him. He has played terrible 2 of his last 3 games, and he would cause so much conflict in the Bears locker room. But the Bears are used to making poor decisions at QB, and first overall picks.
@markballou8621 Жыл бұрын
He can’t read defenses, make quick decisions and is atrocious in the 4th quarter. Caleb Williams is Justin/ RG III 2.0. Hell No to Williams.

Justin Fields is not an accurate passer…. End of story! We see this all the time, Running QBs always have the same career arch! Excluding Lamar Jackson…… and maybe Vick! Passing accuracy >>>>>> athletic ability for QBs ! CJ stroud played his first 5 games behind one of the worst OLines in the nfl but because he is such an accurate passer, he still got the job done well enough!

please say it louder for the fields apologist clowns making excuses for a player who had 3 years to prove he's qb1. If you can't do the basic fundamentals of being a qb your not going to make it period regardless of the line or coaching. You can't teach anticipation or accuracy. Also being a monotone leader doesn't help either.

Fields has a career average of 160 yards passing per game. Coaching and O-line aside, there's no way a good QB would be that bad at passing for that many games. 160 yards is bottom of the barrel in the NFL.

I hate to tell yall this but Caleb Williams isn't a good nfl fit. Think for a moment you got a guy now thst has played in bigger games in college who is bigger faster stronger then the guy you think yall can get when he comes from a style thst has made 2 Heisman winners 1st overall picks who franchise doesn't want or removed them from their business

I don't think Justin's time is over. Analytically, the Bears are the worst-coached team in the NFL, not to mention they haven't drafted high talented linemen on the O or D side of the ball in years. watch the O-line committee, where they're brutally honest and where Fields made mistakes, but the O-line also sold that game. The O-line coach needs to be fired, the OC needs to be fired, and the Eberflus needs to be made the DC. Things most people won't understand is against the Vikings Fields took so many hits which mentally does something to a QB and he kept getting bad snaps which also affects how he goes through his progressions. So while yes he made mistakes Caleb Williams isn't the answer fixing the coaching and building a team from the lineman out is the way to do it. I mean look at the way the Lions rebuilt cause they did it perfectly to become the worst team to the beast team in the division

Its not over. Flus will get out before Fields is gone. Bears wont draft a new QB it be the dumbest thing to do! Bears need to hire a better coach and staff. Build around Fields we saw what he did against the Redskins. If you say Oh its poor teams, put aside the poor teams excuse, you see when there are designed plays he makes them work. But when you have sloppy plays you cant do that. Screen plays dont work, we need 2018 offensive mind sets with plays that no one expected. Fields can do it we know he can, tank the rest of the season and draft more defensive players and a better line. Trade Whitehair away and bring someone else is.
