The Kaiser Chiefs 'do' Sgt.Pepper

I shot The Kaiser Chiefs recording session in London where they were covering The Beatles song 'Getting Better' with engineer geoff Emmerick on the original 4-track desk. I shot this on hi-def (Sony 750) all available light (bar interviews) and there are a couple of Z1 shots in there too.

Nice to see their change of additude. From nonchalant and full of self-esteem into humble and full of appreciation for the beatles actual obvious quality... Never liked the Kaiser Chiefs, but i DO appreciate their willingnes and enthousiasm to take the callenge and make this cover work. Nice.

aww wow i remember watching this- it was gr8 and there were other bands. fantastic effort from the kaisers,any of the beatles songs r incredibly difficult 2 cover but they did a gr8 job- i hav the sgt. pepper album cover and it sounds amazing C: kaiser cheifs rule and nick hodgeson looks superhot! since u'r his brother and put this up u'r cool 2! thanx alot 4 puttin this up! xxxxxxx

Everything my band records we record on four track, because the limitations of the technology mean that you have to plan ahead more and just get things RIGHT more or less the first time. Many of the things you do you can't go back and undo or edit the hell out of like you can with Pro Tools. You can't send twenty different mics to twenty different tracks, and you can't edit a dozen different takes together. Yeah, it's harder, but it actually ends up bringing the best out of the band.

What studio is this? It has all the right Abbey Road gear (including Geoff Emerick), but it's not Studio 2 at EMI. I think I even heard some Fairchild compression on the cymbals.
