Going to be $39.99 USD on Switch so figure about the same on other platforms including Steam. Looks like it will be fun, but not sure about the 40 bucks for it with only having local co-op.

The OG Night Stalkers is a fun game, but I do like this "pixel-art" look better than the way Night Stalkers Remake looks. This feels like a fun cross between TMNT and the Scott Pilgrim game from a few years ago.

Yeah the Night Stalker Remake needs this pixel style. I’m. It buying the “new” look of NSR.

The creators were unable to do this for two reasons: Night Slashers Remake runs on a higher number of frames than the original, and since it uses the original moves, the entire game would have to be redrawn in pixel art. Secondly, adding a new, fourth character at a later stage of development. This would take too much time and work. But it's good that there is a pixel filter to choose from in the options. And now my personal opinion: pixel art is a fashion effect that is supposed to evoke nostalgia. Older arcade titles had pixels, because of the technology. But these games looked blurry anyway, because it was caused by the CRT screen of the arcade machines. I think that if the game is played well, the graphics are of secondary importance. And it is really decent, certainly at the level of SofR 4, except that it has much more effects

Yes, this graphical style is better. I would have bought Night Slashers Remake if it was this style , but it’s a hard pass now, don’t like the “new” look of it.
