It’s noteworthy that Johnny won the 83 all valley without losing a single point meaning that he 3-0d everyone including Tommy and Bobby, so Johnny was indeed Cobra Kai’s top student by a wide margin with full confidence meaning that Daniel wasn’t actually close to 84 Johnny, You scaled Bobby above Daniel which I agree with, in the comics in preparation for the tournament Bobby manages to score a point on Johnny in sparring and kreese is shocked and asked Johnny what’s up with him because Johnny doesn’t usually lose points to Bobby Johnny was a lot better than you might think, given his experience I don’t think any of the teens could have beaten him until they learned both styles

I would rank Tommy above dutch, he made it to the finals in the previous all valley and bruised Daniel while Dutch couldn’t bruise Daniel, the only reason Daniel went to ground against Dutch was because he was already crouched down on the foot when he dodged the kick

Compare this to Dutch or Tommy who could score a point on a non injured Daniel and only narrowly lost 2-1 against Daniel. It wouldn’t make sense for them to do better against Daniel than Johnny when Johnny is confirmed as the strongest fighter in cobra kai in karate kid 1, this means Johnny would’ve been able to outperform Dutch and Tommy since he is confirmed as better but seeing as he couldn’t him being nerfed makes sense doesnt it? How was Johnny not nerfed lmao especially when we see many hints like Kreese confirming he lost his confidence after mr miyagi beat him up and what I said earlier
