I know you likely know more about the business school since that was your main priority, but do you know any statistics on any of the other schools? Such as applying for Radiologic science major with the med school or about Gillings?

This was really helpful because I'm coming to UNC as a sophomore transfer and plan to apply to the business school. Do you know if it's looked down upon if some of my prerequisites come from an institution that isn't UNC?

Glad to hear! To be honest, I highly doubt it. The essays, resume/experience, and interview is valued way more than the prereqs. As long as you got decent grades in em, you should be alright

What are the alternatives for majors? Just economics? I want to be a business major and got in for econ as a transfer but not sure if I'd rather do finance at a lesser ranked state school. Do you think econ is much more math than finance because I'm not great at calc and stats. Lastly would you ever consider reapplying or transferring or is it just not that deep? Also is ECON 410 really that hard? Thank you!

Hey! The main 3 backups tend to be economics, media and journalism, and sports administration from what I’ve seen. I don’t think Econ is more math than finance, there’s definitely a good bit involved, but it’s pretty equally balanced with theory. Do you mean re applying to Kenan-Flagler? If so, I did do that and I got in (for the minor) last year! Even if I didn’t, I definitely wouldn’t have transferred. Econ 410 is going to be a struggle no matter what, thankfully the main teacher is great and that def makes it better. Just one of those things you’ll have to get thru, wouldn’t make it a factor in your decsion
