The man being interviewed and explaining the history of the Kendall Mountain Run is Bill Gardner. He and his wife helped to create the original run in the '70's, and over the past few years, all three of their children and their spouses have also competed in the race. This year, two of their grandchildren finished the 11k. Quite the legacy!

Were the whoo whoo whoo's at the start shouts of 'yeah, let's do this!' or for 'yo, I'm standing here!'?
