The Kephalaia, meaning the headings or central principles, is a series of chapters of varying length that present Mani discussing basic Manichaean doctrine with his students. Here two Kephalaia are given, 26 and 38. In Kephalaion 26 Mani tells five stories or parables about the primal man, the third messenger, and the role of the living spirit in bringing redemption. In Kephalaion 38 Mani offers a Manichaean cosmogony. He describes the universe in human form, and he relates the cosmic human to the individual human. Thus the cosmogonic account, for all its complexity, becomes the story of the individual person living out his or her life. The gods in the outer zone are remote, transcendent, but the actions of the light mind are intimate and accessible. Me neither. I realized there were a lot of Gnostic texts that I didn't know existed that u learned about on this channel. I'm not surprised however, this knowledge is suppressed, and was probably only given access to people of wealth and the Aristocracy through the ages. What a different world this would be if we all were able to learn this life changing info from the time of birth.

Here you go.... "Grace’s treatment of Kerouac’s spiritual quest is the most challenging aspect of the book. She looks carefully at his religious development as revealed through early fiction, letters, and journals, and while she does a marvelous job of taking the reader on a far-reaching journey into the eclectic reaches of Kerouac’s own reflections, at times this journey becomes disorientating in its complexity. Gnosticism dominates the early discussion; Grace notes Kerouac’s knowledge of the Gnostic teacher Mani but also refrains from making “an intentional causal link” between Gnosticism and Kerouac’s metaphysics. However, she then develops highly specific connections between the motif of the pearl in On the Road and the ancient Gnostic text “The Song of the Pearl,” despite the fact that Kerouac himself seems not to have known this work. Certainly, Grace does demonstrate the Gnostic dimensions to Kerouac’s thought, but I find it strange that she gives William Blake so little attention in this matter, for Blake provided Kerouac with a powerful distillation of Gnostic theosophy that moved him greatly, as is clear from his letters and journals. This an interesting question. You could say yes in the way the bible says the earth is flat or six thousand years old. Really its one of two things: a metaphor or a like of knowledge. I would say the first but it could be interpreted differently.

Agian thiugh there is the possibility of a metaphor as his description resembled something of a biblically accurate angel possibly being a reference to the divine light with in all of nature and especially humanity.
