Thanks for the images and the editing. Great job. I did this trail in 2004 when I was in my early twenties and was going through a lot of stuff back home before I just put on a backpack and went to NZ. I can still remember the moment where - like you - I just sat at the top of the summit on the second day for nearly an hour. Your video helped me fill the memory gaps. I remember the fairy tale woods and the waterfalls more now. Funny how a few days can really mean more than months of years of your life, and they pass by so quickly.

Oh fav video! I’m so excited I’m doing this track in just over a month, I’m so excited. I’ve done the Milford and Routeburn, this is the last one I’m so keen to do in Fiordland 😊 love the hiking in NZ. How did you go with the timing for the hiking each day… is 6 hours for the first two days reasonable? I did the other two hikes in the middle of the timing gives. So not the fastest or longest times given

Bring back my memories in NZ, my first day in the track was terrible, climbing up under heavy rain was quite difficult, but it's so rewarding when I pass through the clouds. Love your video, cheers.

Fantastic video! You came up in my recommendations, and I like your vlog style very much. New subscriber 👍🏿😊❤️ I am a Kiwi, and I am planning on doing the Kepler at some point, so this is a nice glimpse of it. Well edited, and you have captured our landscape beautifully. ❤️ P.S. I'm a solo hiker as well, and I'm planning on doing Te Araroa here in New Zealand as a through hike in the summer season of 22-23 when I turn 65 and get the pension! 😊

Thanks for the sweet comment ☺️ 💕 How exciting!! Te Araroa is the one that stretches across the whole country? That’s amazing, sounds like it’ll be an incredible experience! 😱 Maybe I’ll get to doing that one day! Hope you have an amazing time on your hikes!!☺️

Nice video. I did Kepler Track a couple days ago in cloudy day, so I was not able to see any mountains around Luxmore Hut. Everything was in the fog, but still was good!
@danmunro013 жыл бұрын
Another amazing video. I’ve only day hiked to Mount Luxmore and back. But I am off to do the Kepler this coming Sunday, Oct 3rd. May still be a bit of snow up the top. Will see how we go, if things look too sketchy we will turn back.

@danmunro013 жыл бұрын
@@DareToElsewhere the Milford is my favourite great walk. My next favourite track is the Rees Dart track. It doesn’t have “great walk” status but it’s every bit as impressive as other walks nearby with epic views of the Dart Glacier. In fact you can walk right up to the Dart Glacier if you do the walk to Cascade Saddle from Dart Hut.

@@DareToElsewhere definitely do. I hiked the PCT in 2019 and was amazed at some of the hiking in California. If you’ve not been into the High Sierra before I’d say that’s a must do! Some epic hiking in there.

Actually I am also planning to do that but I never did any hiking or tramping and I am like beginner will it be fine doing that because it is written that it is intermediate but i am not sure what it is meant by intermediate in New Zealand. I don't know this is the right platform to ask this question but I couldn't find anyone giving response on kepler track so I thought I will ask you. Thanks for your time and waiting for your response. 🙂🙂
@DareToElsewhere4 жыл бұрын
Personally, I think it just depends on your fitness level (and power of will)! 🙂 I think being a beginner at tramping is fine so long as you know you can handle 4 days of walking, with the first two days being fairly strenuous, and as long as you do your research to make sure you’re well packed and prepared (with hiking boots well broken in). I would say intermediate in New Zealand is closer to “slightly difficult” anywhere else. That being said, I didn’t exercise very much at all in the months leading up to my trek, plus I’d never done an overnight trek before, and it was a challenge for sure, but I was fine. But I also knew I could handle the hikes on day one and day two from past experience! My advice- maybe try going on a hike, around 6 hours, 15km long, with an elevation gain of around 900 meters (this is what day one of the Kepler Track looks like). If you can do it and feel okay afterwords, like you could do it again tomorrow, you’ll be fine! Best of luck on your trek Ranjan, have a blast! ☺️🤙
