You gotta give em credit for thinking outside the box. That is a very unique design.
@JTsKnifeLife5 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I give them a ton of credit for it. It's a pretty bold design to try to execute well overseas, and they pulled it off.

Was a bit surprised to see it on your channel, didn't think it would fit your tastes. But yeah, like you said, a good occasional carry, maybe not an all the time knife. 👍

I’m actually kinda digging the look of this knife. The blue accents are very cool and the pivot is just unusual in a good way. Loved the review as always. Thanks man! 😁

I've had my eye in this one as well. I've been patiently waiting for someone to post a video giving it the yay or nay. It seemed like a nice little lightweight EDC but I was scared that the ergos would have been terrible. But after seeing this I think I'll pick one up.
@JTsKnifeLife5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I really like it. Surprised at how good it was to use!
@joshuathomas49342 жыл бұрын
I own one and carry it every day. The finish does where down on the blade but. I think it looks cool. It’s been a solid knife and it’s very comfy. The finish does grip on things causing the knife to not glide through cuts of cardboard perfectly. I love how easy it is to operate with just one hand. Very easy to fold with just one hand. That’s why I own it. I cut things on a ladder sometimes and only have one hand. I don’t want a fixed blade on a ladder. Not safe.
@scottf.38085 жыл бұрын
I like the blade shape as seems like it could be a good utility knife at work for light work.....Reminds me of those disposible utility blades and I think that due to the blade shape.....I dig it....Good review sir....Good stuff....

Thanks Scott. It does have that nice utility shape, that's for sure.

Dope review JT. I remember the Convo we had about the decibel on IG. And the poll results on your stories. It was pretty funny. Those weird wear marks appeared on my Deadline too. So strange. Thanks for sending this one over.
@JTsKnifeLife5 жыл бұрын
Sure thing Rai. And yeah, they just use a cheap blade coating. I play it off on the vid but it is a bit more or a bummer than I let on, and I should have stressed it more. I have no plans to get rid of the knife, so it only needs to look good for me, but I do wish that coating held up a bit longer at the very least. Especially on a knife so looks oriented.

Design wise definitely the Epistle, but I think the Decibel is better built. Both knives are pretty solid in my experience, so it really comes down to what look and specs you care about.

That pocket clip like the strier clip locks the seam in the cut out for the lock bar and is nearly impossible to get out of the pocket ! There is a lot of friction on the pivot just because of the large surface area !

hmmm, good staple remover. do they sell these at office depot?
@JTsKnifeLife5 жыл бұрын
Naw, Office Depot is struggling. Depressing place really that only sells toner and glitter pens. They have actual staple removers too, for like $8. If you want to remove staples with something I'd get one of those and save the money. If you want to get a progressive looking knife design that will be pretty darn good at basic daily tasks, this knife might be good for you.

Mine is stiff as board out of the box. I've had this issue with frame locks being bent in to far. I'd love to get it opening like you have. Any input. Oil, loosen pinion? I cannot one hand open or close at this point.
@JTsKnifeLife5 жыл бұрын
Got to start with the pivot. If it isn't opening it must be too tight.
@chogokin6665 жыл бұрын
@@JTsKnifeLife Thank's for the reply. I have loosened the pivot and I still can't open it one handed. This leads me to believe the frame lock was bent in too much, or it's a dexterity issue with me. Only other knife That was like this is the Gerber pocket square.
@timbo43745 жыл бұрын
I actually like the looks of it. Kershaw has a few good looking designs this year, but I've sworn them off. I've just had to many issues with them. Poor grinds, stripped or free spinning screws, broken springs, etc.I'm a lot like you..a serial hobbyist, lol. I am always into something, go full bore into it, until I get tired or bored with it. Knives seem to be lasting much longer than most other hobbies I've been into though. I hope that sticks around.I've always carried a knife, I just wan't into the hobby part of it until around a year and a half ago. On the bright side, if I do ever get bored with it, I can sell them off, and recoup at least some of the money I've spent on them. I can't say the same about the rest of the hobbies I've been into.

i got this knife for a lighter but sturdy ligth pack knife (canoeing ,MTBing etc). my only 2 complaints: 1. it needs a laynard hole as bright paracord keeps knives like this from getting lost in the weeds or street. 2. the pivot screw and other screws appear to be some weird torx standard. i'm an ex-lic gunsmith and NONE of my torx or allens fit Pros: it light, flat profile(good for pockets or packs) yet tactical enough to drop a n1gga if you had to defend yourself or others. it also would not look overly 'wicked' to a jury if it came to that.
