Even as someone who is already established in their career, this is still a helpful checklist of questions to go through. Thanks, Jake!

That's great advice. As a professional for almost 20 years, I think I already have answers to those questions, but it also feels too abstract. Trying to come up with answers and write them down is a kind of therapy, a deep dive in myself that is always welcome. And I've been feeling quite lost lately, I know that a big part of it is just what life ins about now, but even though, I think I need to start rowing the boat and not letting it drift too long.

I like your idea about finishing things that you feel aren't going perfectly. You're probably going to make more mistakes as you progress through an artwork, so why not make them all in one place, rather than spreading them out over several works. Besides, the early unrefined drawings you do are much more valuable over time. Once you are a polished artist, you can never dumb down your skills to make honest looking art again.

Thanks for this inspiring video. I have used XP pen a long time ago and love it so much. I am just wondering did Xp pen still have a little gap between pen tip and the cursor?
@jakeparker44 Жыл бұрын
They've closed the gap, and it's really nice.

Hi Jake, Great video and content in general. I created a story book for my children's book or comic. The concept and main drawings are done. It's a fairly simple drawing wise. I am not an artist. What is a good economical and simple program I can use to create my story. I don't want to have to draw the near identical picture every time and also so I don't know how to draw angles of something. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you would really enjoy using Procreate. It's affordable and easy to learn how to use.
